Holy crap. Someone who has not moved in the last two of our turns go ahead and move. It isn't rocket surgery.

Alrighty then.
My options are:
a) cxb7+. Either you take back with the king, allowing me to play Qxd6 and restricting your rook to the back file, but keeping your white-square bishop which is making my own white bishop pretty useless; or you play Kb8, with the intention (perhaps) of playing Bc6 later on. If cxb7+ Kb8 Qxd6+, things start looking very hairy indeed.
cxd7+. This has been my favoured option until recently, but it does allow you to take back with the rook and potentially get doubled rooks on the d file, which could be dangerous for me.
c) Qxd6. I imagine you'd probably respond with bxc6, as Bxc6 would allow me to play Bh3+ and the threat to my Queen evaporates.
d) Rxf7. Seem very threatening, but it's not backed up with anything substantial as yet. Could be an option soon.
e) Rad1. Too early, loses a tempo, and loses my pawn without gaining a bishop.
So, my move is... *drumroll, trumpet fanfare*: cxb7

It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

My personal favorite as a reply would be Kc7.

Can we really afford to look past Kxb7? We're going to eventually gain some initiative back after Qxd6 Bc6 (or somesuch) forces the Queen to move away, and it doesn't suffer from the pitfalls of Kc7 or Kb8. Plus, we get rid of that pawn, which will otherwise be a nightmare to be rid of.

I agree that we ned to take the pawn, although I predict that we're still in for a world of hurt.
one line I see right now is K:b7 Qd5+ Bc6 Qb3+ with a number of strong possiblities to follow.

After Kxb7, Qd5+ is a no-go for me, as I'm not about to offer a Queen exchange that would be far more advantageous for your side -- though would get rid of my horrible doubled pawns. Much prefer keeping my Queen and keeping the pressure on to relieving that particular problem as things stand.
What could happen after Kxb7? Well, obviously Qxd6 is a strong possibility. The other nice option, given that you've virtually no pressure on my kingside as yet, would be Rxf7, pinning your white bishop against the king in preparation for Qxd6 -- you'd then be unable to play Bc6 unless you moved the king in the interim. I might also get doubled rooks on the f file out of that. And it means Bh3 is finally an option, which would really be putting the boot in.

Qxd6 -- Queen takes bishop on d6. I think we're in endgame now, oh yes.

Bd7-g4 would be my suggestion, but after my oversight that would have lost us the queen, I'm nowhere near certain enough to make it.

how bout Q b6 or Q C7 to make the bitch retreat a bit.
buy us some time for a clever move maybe? He does only have the queen in our end with the other pieces all a few moves out of range.

Bg4 is a solid move,
but it can be countered by R:f7+, which would pretty much take us into the endgame.
i'd suggest Be6 instead.

Be6 looks best to me too. The Queen is almost trapped, in fact! Only escape square is a3, after which we might have a chance to counter-attack a little bit. Security against the imminent Rook invasion is definitely a good thing (although I suspect we're going to have to work hard to keep it that way.

Hmmm
if UofW plays Qa3, we can play Qc7, and after Ka8, we'll be sitting fairly pretty.
Except for being down tons of material, ofc
