Ah, yes, back in those halcyon days when we could afford to have a garden and not eat the grass in it for essential sustenance. Also a viable method of keeping grass short and neat, if you have several guinea pigs and a fence.
Has anyone noticed a distinct lack of drama on the forum? Where have all the flamewars gone?

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

In terms of forum time, I think I'm middle-aged. Sort of caught the dying days of the Old Times and survived a few forum changes/redesigns.
I remember when Gothos used to be really cranky, but was only around for the tail end of that. I experienced only a tiny bit of Marduk/Wiggles's insanity, although that Jusentatanka "lady" might have been a recent outburst of that. Completely missed the Snake and Bottle trolling, mostly avoided Gem's truly memorable moments and ended up somewhat respecting Terez's terrifyingly intense expertise on the Wheel of Time books, if not the rest of her posts. Still have no idea about how Apt arrives at his evaluation of every single movie and I think that the rift between Malaclypse and ICE is justified on Mal's part and still hilarious.
Oh, and Rodeo had a beard.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

the biggest thing I remeber were the rep wars, but that was more of a concerted attempt at entertainment than anything else.
I remember the DB getting heated up a few times too, I suppose--usually around evolution/religion issues.

The Marduk/Wiggles weirdness was usually not evolution/religion based.
The ones I remember were potentially fake, very candid narrations of what sexual hijinks he and his wife got up to - and put in random threads that had nothing to do with any of that in the OP - while being combined with lots of insults to anyone who doubted them or said "Alright, enough".

Nicodimas last posted in April, and it wasn't even in the Discussion Forum =(. No doubt with 2012 coming he's pretty busy, but he is missed. I've only been here ~1.5 years and the only real loon I've seen is that guy who knew everything about Israel, and on top of that, knew that you knew nothing about Israel.
