As long as it doesnt end up like L4D2. Eeeekkk.

You go to hell, you go to hell and you die!

L4D2 is awesome!

I played the hell out of L4D2, but in my humble opinion, it was a step down in enjoyment from the first.

^Seconded. I thought melee weapons ruined the dynamic of the game.

The moving zombie wave vs stay still and defend something was better.

It says something about how good a game is when you can play the same 5 levels over and over again 4v4 and not get tired of it for a year. I loved that game.. this makes me want to go play it.

Anyway, on topic, I also loved Borderlands. Severely underrated game, imo. I think it suffered from the hipster effect, where it got a lot of positive buzz right away, so it made a lot of people decide they weren't going to like it to be different.

I played the game once with a friend, three times with my brother, four times with my previous girlfriend, once with her brother, and twice by myself. I can't effing wait.

I think i've watched this about 5 times.

Soooooooo F'ing excited.

I just hope they don't do what most sequels do. Take what made the original awesome and overdue it so much it sucks. Fingers crossed.

I like that you can play split screen online, makes for gaming with the friends so much easier.

I have 5 months to decide which character to start with. And i'll probably still end up having to randomize it.

I think it was a smart move to downsize the Brute to a Dwarf and to shift the Sniper into a Ninja. As fun as the smash'n'grab was with the Brute, he was kind of overpowered for most situations and the Sniper never made much sense for such an action oriented game.

I'll probably go with the ninja for a while and then shift over to the Siren.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Aside from the wubwub, it looks great. As for my class... gunzerker, the name says it all.

Just saw a game play demo using the assassin character Zer0. The mission was to help Claptrap destroy statues of "Handsome Jack". Holy shit this game is going to be awesome!

Also, the wife told me she'd be out of town most of the week of September 18th. Coincidence or divine providence?

I've never quite understood the lure of these big collectors packages. What if the game turns out to be complete shit. I would have a sour taste in my mouth if I paid a hundred dollars for a game that I didn't like.

Which is why you tend to buy them for sequels to games you love? I get the limited editions for Elder Scrolls games (not the super-limited ones, granted, but that's usually a case of "no money" = "no availability"), or if they offer some neat/interesting extras (for example, the Battlefield 3 limited ed gave you the M1911 pistol...fuck yeah! I don't care that it isn't that good, but I love that gun IRL, so...), did so for Halo 3/Halo Reach...I probably wouldn't do it for Borderlands (didn't actually every buy the first game, much as I enjoyed my time spent with it at friend's places) or something like, say, Watch Dogs, unless I was really confident of the game's appeal, or it was only $10 more or it offered really good extra in-game (or I guess out-of-game) stuff.
