Aye, the scale is done so well!

if I could have one gripe, though: wasn't Karsa riding Havok bareback? Did Samar make a saddle in the books? I honestly can't recall, and all my quote-fu is far, far away.

I guess calling her 'Little' Red Riding Hood wasn't an exaggeration That certainly looks like a twenty six hands tall horse, and suitably carnivorous. I like.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Very good work. However, since Havok is occasionally carnivorous, I always thought he had a slightly different jaw structure than a typical horse.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Not sure the artist really wants us debating this particular aspect of the piece, but yes, Dolmen I think is right. Horses and many other mammals have a sort of... and this is going to sound ridiculous... 'penis-sheath' that surrounds the appendage when it's not in use.

Gothos: In TTH when Karsa's going after the Hounds of Shadow, he meets Shadowthrone and "Karsa leaned forward on the strange saddle that Samar had had fitted for Havok back in Letheras". On the first sketches I had her on Havoks bare back and added the saddle later. I had no idea how a strange saddle could look, but I think for Karsa is every saddle a strange thing...

Dolmen: I'm not sure about the background. I thought of that huge Wagonthing in the Wastelands (after Karsas meeting with the Captain) in TTH. But as I said, I'm not sure about it yet.

Penis: Male horses don't run around with their penis dangling between their hind legs. Most of the time its hidden in a foreskin-bag-thing...

Very awesome! As every one has said, the scale is superb, what a menacing horsie. I also always had trouble picturing what Semar Dev actually looked like, so this is good because it gives me something to work with. Well done.

thats a good idea for a background. would be interesting if you have dassem and/or karsa in silhouette somewhere back there aswell. A small, tiny thing I noticed was how you've accented Havocs legs with really cool vein detail, Im not an expert but I think the neck area should have similar veins.
