We don't need abbreviations for character names. That expects too much of people and it makes things confusing. Especially when you have the same abbreviations for more than one character.

Usually we just go with nick names like Iccy, Cots, Desim, Aps, Killy, etc.

I do agree though, the names for the books are fine, but getting into name abbreviations (while sometimes helpful) the ones listed aren't used all that much (Jenisan'rul for instance being Jenny or Jennifer) So nice try, but a bit elaborate IMO (In my opinion)
