I hate abbreviations period..they drive me nuts. Not only do I rarely remember them, so spend most of my time being lost among them, but I think it denotes general laziness in the poster who can't be bothered with simply typing out a name. That said, it fits the books series perfectly to have a complex, overlong, and confusing system..so I'm completely in favor of it. :-P

But but but... you abbreviated I am as I'm!!!

I think you're waaay to anal about these names.

We don't need abbreviations for character names. That expects too much of people and it makes things confusing. Especially when you have the same abbreviations for more than one character.

Usually we just go with nick names like Iccy, Cots, Desim, Aps, Killy, etc.

Your face is anal.

I do agree though, the names for the books are fine, but getting into name abbreviations (while sometimes helpful) the ones listed aren't used all that much (Jenisan'rul for instance being Jenny or Jennifer) So nice try, but a bit elaborate IMO (In my opinion)

Hate to be pedantic, but "I'm" is a contraction, not an abbreviation. You're not a hypocrite, Tru! At least not in this. Also, necroposting.
