I just finished my re-read. While MT is definetely one of my favs i still have a few unaswered questions.
What motivated the nerek to kill hull beddict?
and
When triban gnol is almost killed, it is done by a "half-nerek, half-tartheno" person. I know its no ublala so who else is it? It seems kinda random.

Because he was betraying his country in an attempt at redemption and the Nerek disagreed. or something like that.
I presume you meant Gerun Eberict, who was pretty much killed. When Bugg is walking in Lether and act as shoulderman for the poor guys of the city ,there is an half-Thartenal named Unn who was burying his grandmother who had been killed by Gerun.

The Nerek killing Hull comes off as somewhat random and probably one of my least favourite details in the finale.
What it more or less comes down to is that Hull was responsible for at least 2-3 entire races, including the Nerek, being subsumed by the Letherii debt system. He went out and found them and got their trust on behalf of the Letherii empire and then the evil debt system moved in and crushed them. This eventually caused Hull tonnes of angst and grief and eventualy leads him to join up with the Edur campaign, altho he does absolutely nothing of use once he does. Hull then gets all kinds of bitter and lost and whiny and eventually the Nerek decide he's dragging the entire world down with his complaining so they kill his ass. Ok, not quite... they kill him because he had become consumed by vengeance and lost whatever it was that made him noble and worthy of their trust. Or something like that.

I was dissapointed when Hull got killed because I was hoping for a reunion of all three Beddict brothers.

I read Hull's death as being a result of his having become too self serving. From start to finish of MT, Hull comes across as someone who sees himself as being betrayed by the Empire (though a part of him must have known what was coming) and in a vain attempt at trying to appease his massive guilt over his part in the conquests, sets himself up as a kind of spokesperson for the indebted peoples to the Edur. However, as a Letharii, he surely can't know what it is to be Nerek etc. and so their representation by him could be seen by them as a betrayal too. I think the repuation of Hull amongst all of the Nerek (not just a few) following their conquest isn't developed enough. His death is pretty apt, though, and I couldn't help but feel that he would find it fitting too..

I thought that the Nerek continued to worship Hull because, although he was party responsible for their demise, he was honorable and only ever had good intentions. He was like the conscience of his whole people. When he betrays the Letherii he gives up the morals he was upholding even as he lead the Nerek to their doom, thereby finally betraying the trust they placed in him. Somehow the Nerek could look past their own people's extinction and continue to revere Hull, but in debasing himself he proves them wrong in their trust.
On a lighter note, this reminds me of Anchorman: "You where my hero Ron. Why'd you have to go saying that? Poop. Poop-mouth."

i think it has something to do with forgiveness? that Hull saw the betrayal of his country for what he has done for them then saw to it that he waged his own personal vendetta against his own country by betraying his own country to the edur, but
the nerek i think never saw it that way, that even though they worship Hull, his deeds alone can not atone for what his country(lether) has done, and they regretfully have to kill Hull,
and yah, he became the one thing that he despised at the beginning, he lost his honor by betraying the ones who betrayed him,
the scene after that is heart wrenching, maybe in his heart he felt that the ones those edur were attacking was his brother Tehol, even though he doesn't know it, the only person he wishes to ask for forgiveness, and he never got to him,
which is ironically the one thing the nerek's reason for killing him,

It's not who I am underneath.. but what i do that defines me - Batman, Batman Begins; 'Without our deaths, sir, there would be no crime. Thus, no punishment to match,' 'Mortal Sword - '
'We are done, my friend. Now, in this manner, we choose the meaning of our deaths' - Mortal Sword Brukhalian to Veteran Nilbanas, siege of Capustan
