Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Apt's post - it's total bollox. The background colour is pretty close to "bleached death" which is how her passage is described. Neither is she enveloped in flames or sorcery (and how would you even begin to picture the latter anyway)

Sure the ground errupts around her when she frees herself from her prison, otherwise she leaves a trail of deadness behind her

"A broud swathe of bleached death, stretching in a line. "Northeast" he whispered, watching the slow devastating blight cutting its slash across the landscape.
"Where the passes" said Kilmandaros, "no life shall ever return".

I like the picture very much - the contrast in colour of the dragons was a nice touch - like that green for instance.

Also to this point, it would be totally problematic for the Otataral Dragon to be wreathed in sorcery.

Holy crap! That is more or less exactly how I pictured what my painting of Korabas would look like. Composition, point of view, colours everything!


Needless to say, it is a FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!!!! :p



Now, I really need to rethink my own painting :D

The magical wards that held her were Starvald Demelain. That's why Kilmanadaros was happy to break them. And of course there's the oft mentioned notion that EM works against otataral.

The book also flat out mentions that sorcery won't work on her, so the Elient have to tear her apart personally.
