Well well well. Factions, interesting. With 16 players it would be possible to make each faction the same size, but would that give the cult too big an advantage? More likely cult has 2 or 3 since they can recruit. I only skimmed the story post but the three non-cult factions are (employees of?) a mining company, the mining company police force, and (the crew of?) a covert ship - is that right? UMC and UMCP seem to be at odds but if the Trumpet is a UMcP vessel then I wonder if they have similar win conditions.

Ah sorry, it's just that the Trumpet is not mentioned at all in the OP and I have no real clue where to place it.

Yeah, unless it is part of the balancing, it seems weird that we know nothing about the trumpet and very little about the UMC, while the UMCP and Amions are given full profiles and motives in the OP. We can fairly easily deduce the general objectives of the Amions and UMCP, but not the UMC or trumpet, so unless that is part of the balancing I find that unfair -_-

As said by Roldom, there are many different victory conditions that aren't all mutually exclusive. I would not assume that you know everything.
If you have questions about your own PM/ alignment, PM P-S and we get back to you.
If you have questions on general stuff and the books, sorry, for that you have wiki and on thread speculation, but no P-S aid.

I'm home and a bit tipsy. non exclusive victory conditions sound fun. Why doesn't everyone just post on thread what their victory conditions are!
No?
Fine.
I don't like that HP voted Okaros in post 32 and then 16 minutes later Okaros shows up and posts. Not saying we should vote either of them off, but it is something to watch in the future.
Liosan talking about game setup in post 41 was odd, but this is an odd game to wrap our heads around.

Well there isn't a lot to go on, but I agree with the up-thread suggestions of going for the Amino Acid cult first. It's standard strategy for a multi-faction game with a cult, and from the plot descriptions on wiki there's a lot of Amino Acid double agents and such, which has me fearing the Aminos aren't starting as just a recruiter.

It should be standard strategy for a multi-faction game, and we should try to do just that. In practice though, malazan mafians tend to continue attacking one faction at the expense of paying attention to all the other ones. -_- It's called "beating the dead horse" method. With luck we'll hit the cult first.

One of my favorite faction game memories was when Morgoth was cult and made that crazy reveal as a tribalist in the (i think it was) Mistborn game.

dude, SC was the cult in the culture game. Amnion is filling that role here.
