How is saying the book you're enjoying reading is enjoyable to read, and then comparing the book about an AI going against mankind to an adaptation of books about AI that's not very close to the source novels, terrible, and features an AI going against mankind, trolling? Your trolling filter is fucked up, man.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Yes Illy. I already apologized for misinterpreting it. Can we move along now?
I was commenting on the statement that he/she referred to ROBOPOCALYPSE like the bastardized iRobot movie...and then contradicted that by saying he/she liked it. That was where I got trolling from.

LOL.
Indeed. I suppose it should be heard.

I am finding that this story is all its own beast. Nothing feels unoriginal in fact.
How is it going?

Yep, though I was at a baseball tourney over the weekend and had next to no time to read, but I'm still loving the format and the story!

So read World War Z before this?
If you like Zombies - read World War Z first.
If you prefer robots - read Robopocalypse first.
They're so similar in format if you read one first, you'll think the other is a bit of an imitation. They're structured really similarly.
Apologies if I'm still not welcome in this thread.

Nah, you're welcome. I got over my initial snippyness and realized you weren't being overly trollish at all. Had a bad day. Thanks for your input.

hmmmm... robots vs zombies??
Tough choice. Which is the best novel? I'll read that one.

I think Robopocalypse is a more... exhilarating (?) read. World War Z might be a better book. Both have their strong points. I'm pretty sick of zombies by now though, so I'd probably go with the robots.

Indeed. I think that with THE WALKING DEAD and other current media saturation of zombies that Robots just feels like the better choice...but I haven't read WW Z so I can't speculate as to which is better.

Ya, I read Feed a few weeks back, and even though it was (in my humble opinion) a brilliant book I just couldn't get over MORE zombies. Really? Can we please move on? I looked at the coming soon lists from a bunch of publishers and there's even more zombie books coming. It's ridiculous.`

We've had a deluge of vampires, a swarm of zombies and a pretty good run of bad aliens in the zeitgeist over the last few years, with the odd side run of witches and mutants and a tiny scattering of ninja. I'm thinking we're due for some solid robot action, but expect a resurgence of werewolves.
Next the industry will get silly.. if you think COWBOYS & ALIENS is something...
...just wait for
ZOMBIE VIKINGS FROM MARS!
REVENGE OF THE NINJA WEREWOLF!! and
ROBOT WITCHES!!!

I was perusing a list of the films being shown at the British Film Insitute's Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, and I kid you not, there was a film called "Time-Travelling Lesbians From Outer-Space".
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.
