I like how the MC has made a giant fuckup of his situation as a whole but there has been no reset. Anotherwords he has to actually grow as a person as he has to live with the consequences of what hes done, rather that just being able to hit retry everytime he screws up. That being said i kinda get what hes going through, love can turn you into a selfish asshole without you even realizing it.

Idk the characters themselves aren't exactly genre breakers in of themselves yet im drawn to all of them. Could just be the fact that the characterization is so well handled it doesn't come across as cliched.

As Nico said, escaflowne is a classic. Lain is too, but you need to be in the right mood for it. I wouldn't bother with Charlotte, it has a few really good moments but doesn't stand well as a whole package and is overall fairly forgettable. I dunno about the rest.

Subaru is going to kill himself (or otherwise die) and wake up back around when they heard about trouble at the mansion, leading to him and Rem desperately trying to get there even faster. But I bet a lot of the bad things that happen like the villagers dying will still happen.

Clown-guy wants to kill the dragon, and Emilia is somehow connected to the evil witch (if there really was no connection, that'd be pretty weird... like just dye your hair girl!). I bet you those two facts are connected - like Clown-guy needs to use Emilia's connection to Satella in order to achieve killing the dragon.

I wouldn't be surprised if Emilia somehow, consciously or otherwise, was the one to put the respawn curse on Subaru and hence why he has the "scent of the witch".

It does kinda bother me that Subaru is perfectly okay with straight up asking Beatrice and other people about the shaman curses and admitting that he has the "scent of the witch", but never inquires further into what that means, how it would work, etc. He has no problem revealing that he mysteriously knows things in very suspicious ways, so why wouldn't he try to learn more about any of that?

Itd make thing a lot easier in the future, would also have avoided the fallout that occured in ep 13. Most of those prediction are quite plausible

Yeah, if I was in his position I'd say I was a Seer or Oracle and have visions of the future. Gives you the perfect excuse to know things you couldn't possibly know, to be somewhat inaccurate, and for that foreknowledge to be very selective. And it's a fantasy world, so it shouldn't be a problem to claim that (or even if there aren't oracles/seers in Lugania, you can just claim that they do exist where you are from, much like the Demon Clan has their own secret specific powers).

Respawn point became the apple guy instead of the bed at Cruscz's house, but it's effectively the same thing: Emilia and Roswaal have already left, Subaru and Rem can just barely make it to the mansion in-time, but they'll be intercepted by the cultists as they approach.

Possibly they could find a way to sneak past if they don't take the main road, get to Roswaal and warn them in time... but I doubt they'll go that route. Subaru is too crazy-obsessed with killing Betelgeuse now, he won't go for a plan like that... he'll go for some kind of attacking and killing Betelgeuse directly, but who knows how yet. One crazy plan I could see him doing would be to stay in the city, train with the butler and Felis, and kill himself over and over until he masters swordsmanship and enough counter-magic to beat Betelgeuse. It would be horrific to kill himself that many times, but I could see him doing something insane like that in his current state. We'll see!

And wow, Puck can become HUUUUGE. I guess I'm not surprised that Puck turned out to be more than just a regular spirit, but killing the entire countryside with a sudden lethal blizzard after Emilia dies is more than I expected!

I started watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and I'm seven episodes in. Sometimes, I can't decide if the writers think the audience has mental illnesses or if it's funky story telling. The introduction of Tonpetty had me laughing out loud, as well as Dire and Straits.

The first season is good - Phantom Blood is fun enough and Battle Tendency moreso - but Stardust Crusaders is where it REALLY kicks in.

I don't think Puck would be the dragon. Kinda defeats the purpose of even having a selection for priestess+king/queen of the dragon if the dragon has already chosen to be the familiar of one candidate, doesn't it?

But you do bring up an interesting point of how might this relate to the candidate selection and dragon. Roswaal wants to kill the dragon... maybe unleashing Puck is how he plans to do it - once Emilia becomes the candidate and the dragon is summoned, Roswaal suddenly kills Emilia, which unleashes uber-Puck, which kills everything around him including the dragon...?
