Not difficult to guess I'd like badarse femmes fatales wielding huge swords? :)
Great show so far, and emotionally powerful enough to make me teary-eyed.

Oh That show hits hardest in the first 7?? episodes. Then its just balls to the wall action with a good bit of creepy pasta mixed in. :)

If you like the Theresa with Claire dynamic you REALLY should read the proper manga afterwards.

Assassination Classroom (new, episode 1) - Might not be for everyone but I found this hilarious and even a little bit touching. Too early to call - I could see this doing a lot of great character studies as well as hilarious comedy all cour-long and be the anime of the season!

(image, not a spoiler)
Spoiler

SOLD!

Just to see that scene!

EDIT

Just watched it. Tons of fun, Gonna keep my eye on this one for the rest of the season.

What is it with japan and tentacles though?

Finally caught the mid-season finale of Fate UBW. Thought they were pushing it a bit with the "date" at the start (bloody eroge roots...) but it ended well enough. Great to see Kirei back in action, and that's one cliffhanger I appreciate them using, given the VN.

Thought the preview was a bit 50/50 - looking forward to a lot of what it showed, but it wasn't put together very well. Also, this show needs more good fight scenes! Ufotable are awesome at those but the only real one we've had was almost 10 episodes ago, with Berserker v Saber/Archer. Given one of the other major ones in this route will likely be off-screen, they're really not throwing in on some of the opportunities here.
Heck, by this time in Zero, we were up to the ridiculous Caster fight, and had several others in between. I want my battle scenes, dammit! XD (Granted, they're being fairly in line with the VN, so can't complain there...still a million times better than the movie, too. XD)

Onwards, to new shows! Until April.

KanColle is so typical in its foundation that I find myself cringing...but it's also possibly the most hilarious thing ever. Girls as the embodiment of traditional Japanese warships, basically fighting kaiju/generic sea-based, canon-wielding monsters. What the hell, I'll see how long I can stick with it.

Durarara!! Durarara!! Durarara!! Oh god, first episode was spot-on. I'm just thrilled to see all my favorite characters again, and especially happy to see a few who will be getting more air time this season.
Totally in love with this show all over again from the start. And the nostalgia trip from the OP/ED was only missing Uragiri no Yuyake and Trust Me for the music to throw me right into nostalgia mode they were great.
Next episode is going to have me rolling on the floor with excitement/fangasm/laughing, guaranteed. Orihara twins are awesome. Hollywood is nuts. Shizuo is hilariously violent.
SO EXCITE for this.

It's an anime original (which I guess is why they had to test the waters with the 1-off before committing to a whole show - riskier if it's not an adaptation?). I'm really enjoying it, too, so far.

Some interesting ideas floating around so far:

The bar is "Quindecim", where Decim and Quin (only heard her voice so far, but probably the eye-patch girl from the OP) work. Quin is 5 and Decim is 10 in latin, of course. So 'quindecim' would be 15, and likewise they get off the elevator at the 15th floor to get to Quindecim. Then there's Nona, which apparently is actually short for Nonaginta, which is latin for 90, and lo-and-behold she gets off at the 90th floor. So, perhaps a hierarchy denoted by numeric names?

And then, separately, Decim and Nona are both 2 of the 3 Parcae, the Roman fate goddesses. The third Parcae is Morta, so I bet our unnamed assistant girl will end up being 'Morta' or something very close. Funky.

And then, episode 2 discussion-wise:

Nothing more scheduled for now, but that last image does hint that the company is interested in doing a second season sometime in the future.

New episodes of Tokyo Ghoul √A Look awesome.

Kaneki gets his day in the su...erm...day in the shadows?

Anyways if you followed last seasons finale you would probably be alot like me, somewhat annoyed we didn't get to see the Aogiri Tree members fight it out with Kanekis and Anteikus group. Not that the ending was bad but, well there was some major events I really wanted to see.

Well in Tokyo Ghoul √A they start off full throttle and it doesn't disappoint. Everything is fast paced, a bit rushed IMHO. Not sure if theres a discrepancy between manga and Anime but the Exposition is cut short and the action has revved up to 11. it suits me fine though as thats what I wanted to see and boy do they deliver!

That's a good list. I just started watching Aldnoah zero.

I reccomend it because its got a nice premise. Plenty of Space opera stock but there's one or two really Novel ideas worth watching the show for. Also the music. they had a great producer working on Aldnoah Zero. I'm a firm believer in any director with a good sense for matching scenes to music.

Edit: oh also Gen Urobachi and Ei Aoki were the minds behind the anime, you'll know them from Fate/Zero and Black Lagoon. Both known for excellent animation and characterizations

Durarara is possibly even more crazy-random-wtf-was-that than the previous season! The vastly expanded cast probably has something to do with it. XD That and Shinra's narration causing much anachronistic antics.

Hollywood needs more background. I remember there being more background in the novels. >.>

Best show. So good. Much entertain.

Totally agreed, I love how episode 2 subverted the expectations setup in Billiards and Death Parade 1, and then Death Bowling continued to switch around assumptions from the first two/three episodes.

Death Arcade next week!

So far, it seems a lot of the main characters from season 1 will be only minor characters this season, and I think that's actually a good thing. We've probably gotten past the most interesting parts of Anri, Mikado, Shizuo, Kyohei, etc's stories in the first season and we really don't need to see a whole season of Anri and Mikado awkwardly refusing to admit they're dating. Now that we know lots about them, we can follow the new characters and the old main characters can just pop in and out of the story as needed.

We will probably get more as the cour goes on!

---

Assassination Classroom was good this week, too! Interesting seeing the new character's different take on the situation and seeing a different sort of reaction from the teacher.

---

I finally watched episode 2 and 3 of Rolling Girls, too. Love how bright and a bit crazy they are! The first two episodes were honestly a bit confusing since they didn't seem to match the premise setup by the OP/description, but at the end of episode 2 it finally gets into the main plot. And heck, it's just nice to have a good quality shonen-esque girls show that is just being itself, not ripping off sailor moon / gritty girls-and-guns / parodying something.
