AoT S3 predictions:

Spoiler

Juni Taisen was pretty good. Also there's a giveaway in who was going to win in the opening (the eyes).

I've picked up the animation of the mongol invasion - episode one was decent. Artwork is kinda janky but overall a good watch.

Monthly manga like AoT and Blue Exorcist always throw me off, I can never remember what happened the previous month. But yes there are some crazy revelations after the time skip.

I might join the Fate bandwagon.

What clips I have seen make it look quite enjoyable.

I watched Juuni Taisen final episode yesterday and I was surprised at how good it was.

Cool! With Extra Last Encore being a spin-off of a spin-off of the main series, there'll be a lot of differences but shouldn't be hard to adjust to, they all do at least a half-decent job of explaining their own rules.

There's a hypothetical "normal" Fate story about one of the first 3 Grail Wars where things generally all go according to the regular rules that would make the perfect baseline show and introduction to the main series, but no such show actually exists. Even all the main series shows are full of twists and breaks of the "standard" rules. That being said, I'd recommend giving Fate/Zero a try next, as it is arguably the closest to a "regular" Fate show and also the best Fate I've seen so far. Also it has a good English dub. You might think that since Fate/Extra Last Encore is a spin-off of Fate/Extra that watching Fate/Extra next is the logical next one, but apparently they're not very similar at all.

So I picked up Overlord and have to say I've been missing out up until now. It's good fun. The theme tune is unexpectedly hilarious as well with the Engrish.

I'm saving it for now as I'm three eps into Dantalian and it's really really good.

I actually enjoy several other things a tad bit more at the moment. I think the idea of Attack on Titan is amazing but the storyline wanders a bit. I can't quite put it into words. Maybe I should binge a rewatch of season 2...

It's semi-Eriksonian in the way it sets up multiple threads which seem like tangents but later on ties them up together. If this season gets to the end of the
Spoiler
Arc then it's gonna be sooooo lit.

I recently watched two stellar anime.

The first was Fate Unlimited Blade Works 2015. It was good, Yes Shirou was annoying but also better developed than Fate Deen. His relationship with Saber and Archer was as good as the situation between Emiya Kiritsugu and Kotomine Kirei.

It wasn't as good as Fate/Zero but I enjoyed it enough to leap over to Fate/Apocrypha.

I also started watching Sirius the Jaeger. Bread and butter Vamp v Werewolf to the tune of Jim Butchers Dresden files and that series take of the Red Court. Not complete but fascinating regardless. I recommend a watch if you aren't watching anything else.

My goto Animes are still Cells at Work and Boku No Hero Academia. Both were good last week. I am also really enjoying a rewatch of Sakura Quest. that ending credits music...chills every time.

Cells at Work is high tier. Still not interested in MHA at all. Wouldn't mind something narm and stupid like King's Game.

Oh, if you want edgy, Angels of Death is this season's edgelord.

Oh, really? The synonpses of this sounded so bad/generic I never checked it out. I'll have to give it a try.

I've got Lupin III, Attack on Titan, Banana Fish, My Hero Academia, and occasionally Cells at Work / Free! but not trying to keep up with them. Enjoying all of them, this is a fun season!

I also picked up a new show that's currently airing - watched the first 4 episodes of it this weekend and I loooove it. It's called Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight aka something like Girls' Starlight Revue or some such and it's totally bananas. It follows these nine girls who are students at a private theatre school. There's lots of slice of life of them attending acting/dance/music/etc classes and interpersonal hijinks in their dorms, etc, but then additionally these 9 secretly "audition" in a secret contest run by a telepathic giraffe underneath the school where they have awesome sword fights that are straight up gorgeous looking. I like how the characters all act really melodramatically/campy with their theatre moves, and also how the duels (which did I mention are gorgeous?!) aren't just typical fights but have all this showmanship and theatrics and singing as part of them.
