OK D'rek, looks like you were right. The final RePETIT was a shameless plug for the light novel. I am bereft.
Sadly
But let's turn this into a discussion... everybody, what's your favourite shows that are adapted from a manga/LN/VN/etc and
do have a proper end (even if it's not the same as the source), aren't just shameless plugs to go play/read the source material?
Akame ga Kill! was adapted from the source material so that it had a concrete ending (you can't get much more ended than they did, at any rate). That's really the only one I can think of that I've seen, though.
I can think of a good handful of others, but they're mostly all shows that ran for long enough to just adapt the whole story: Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, Assassination Classroom, Toradora, Fate/Zero or Future Diary, etc.
Sakamoto desu ga and Dandelion Castle-town are the only ones I can think of that were only one-cour and reached a solid ending, but I think their original sources are shorter, too.
I can't think of any longer manga/LNs that couldn't possibly be fully adapted in one cour so the creators just said "let's skip these big chunks and jump to the end" or made up their own ending, rather than just adapting the first few chapters and stopping there.

Cause Re:Zero ended...and that means all my love seems to be falling away....and sadness.
I tried out these guys:
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash..Burned through it a day...
and
starting
Your lie in April <excellent so far..>
Future:
Orange
R.O.D.
R.O.D. is one of my favourites, hope you enjoy it! Are you watching the OVA then the whole TV series?
I just finished Orange this weekend. Not sure how I feel about it... I don't want to say it was unrealistic, because it wasn't, but at the same it is pretty frustrating watching "real" characters that are almost too shy/naive/insensitive to function.

I just finished GitS:SAC. Now I'm starting GitS: 2nd Gig. I really enjoy the way this show takes concepts from the movie and does a deep dive on them.
Awesome show, I remember there being a big amount of discussion on it in this thread, like... a year or two ago (?) if you want to try and find it.
