Got a copy of Prince of Fools today at 2nd and Charles, 8$. Literally looks like someone bought it off the shelves then sold to the Used Book Store. Almost shit myself when I saw it knowing its been there for 4 days and no one picked it up. Lol speaking of Fools.

My own poll shows that Prince is the least popular of the trilogy with people who have read all three - though of course there are some who are very firmly in the 'Prince camp'.

It's not hard to find series that lose 80 or 90% of readers after volume 1,

I honestly almost did the same thing when I was reading Prince. Not that the book was bad or anything, I picked it up cause I never heard of you and everyone was talking about this series on the forums. I think some readers, especially ones who aren't avid Fantasy fans get discouraged when they are thrown into a world where they don't understand what is happening when. When I pushed through the first one and got into King I started to imagine how this trilogy would work and really got into Jorg's character (Lets be honest people, Jorg was a horrible person but we all were rooting for him). LOVED the third one even if you threw everything together in the last like 20 pages. (I kept thinking how is he going to end this series, there's like 10 pages left? lol). Just picked up Prince of Fools today, keep up the good work Mr. Lawrence.

I've now heard from people who:

i) loved Prince of Thorns but didn't like King & Emperor
ii) loved King and Emperor but didn't much like Prince of Thorns
iii) loved the whole trilogy but didn't like the end
iv) loved the whole trilogy and thought the end was perfect
v) loved Prince of Thorns but not Prince of Fools
vi) loved Prince of Fools but not Prince of Thorns

all of which repeats what everyone knows - it is what it is, get on with writing what you want to write

Sadly, despite hefting a 25kg girl around all the time, I'm not built to put muscle on.

From his recent photos it looks like Abercrombie has been mainlining steroids and pro-growth though! And our host Marc Aplin is a mixed martial arts former cage fighter with muscle to spare!

They do - I've just been writing a scene at the Mathema for the last book in the trilogy.

I didn't put that and I suspect it's a guess, but I'm pretty sure it will be in June sometime, probably early. It's all written, 95% publisher edited, & I've seen roughs for the cover.
