Man I really wish you hadn't left the Westeros boards at the moment, so you could adress the (utterly ridiculous) 'too many girls' conversation going on in the Red Sister thread right now.

Not that you'd necessarily want to and to be fair mostly people are adressing it for you.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Those MRA people are scum licking idiots and the book is terrific.

Fortunately, most of the Westeros people are not having the stupid MRA shit and are reading the book (and liking it!).

I'm guessing we're not talking Magnetic Resonance Angiograms here...

How many girls is too many?

I think the problem isn't really with quantity of girls so much as the main character is a girl. But basically you've gone from being one of the few hold-outs of male-aimed fantasy to writing inclusivity porn.

What's weird is that the one user most strongly pushing the argument is a dude I've often agreed with and found sensible in the past. Oh well.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

pffft - tomorrow then is yesterday now. Now-you should be fine.

It certainly is worth that shockingly cruel wait!

Finished red sister and it was highly enjoyable! Was thrown a little as for some reason I'd expected it to be a book in the broken empire sequence, which it isn't , but very entertaining none the less. Looking forward to the next one.

Nice offer, but if I was you I'd have already contacted Amazon about the screw up and send them back. If those are all hardbacks that's an expensive mistake.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

@Mark not sure how aware/into gaming you are but Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4 has a certain feel to Broken Empire which is very groovy. I also see Avatar similarities in.

Ha yes, I said the same on Twitter. Particularly the map.. I likened it to Jorgs eye Ring that gave the satellite view. Also the hidden bunkers of the 'Ancients', the holos, the reused structures.. quite a few comparisons really.

Enjoying Red Sister so far

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Amazon were doing that to us a lot a year or so back. Very annoying, and a real hassle to get refunded etc. We ended up giving them as gifts but being pissed off about it.

I haven't managed to play any video games for almost 2 years but last week I dusted off my PS4 on which I had played just one game, and played another. The Last of Us. Excellent game.

Now I'm playing World of Tanks (the free version) and getting killed by east Euroean teens on a regular basis.

Yeah I'm thinking if no one bites I'll keep the shiny copies and use them as prizes in the art forum or something
