That seems universal, though the US voters almost like the US cover best.

After 143 votes 81% of Brits, 59% of Americans, and 72% of everyone else prefers the UK cover.

(36% of voters were Brits(&Australians&NewZealanders), 34% Americans(&Canadians), and 30% 'others')

Aye, the British cover wins it for me too!

I think the UK cover is more vivid and will stand out better than the US version when faced out on a shelf or stacked up in a display in a book store. The red background just draws your eye.

I'm totally over the "fullbody shot of some badass with a sword and cloak" cover trend. The US version at least shows some character.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

I like US. It matches our Jorg covers.

Isn't the UK and US covers for the Broken Empire the same? I know you guys over the ocean was a bit unlucky with the PoF covers, but I though you had the Jason Chan painted covers as we have.

I love how the covers never shows his face.

Rather than waste it - here's a "Jorg or Jalan?" personality test I did for a give-away on reddit r/fantasy.

I just finished King of Thorns last night and loved it. The pacing messed with me at the first part of the book, but once I got caught up in the rhythm, it was a winner. Definite re-read material, because I know I probably missed some details.
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Mark can we ensure that the "fake" front cover becomes the real one? Do you get a say in this?

I get a touch more say than I used to, but still very little. My UK editor did show me that artist's work though and I think she's well disposed toward him, so it's entirely possible...
