Yeah the whole bit in Daneland was brilliant, the avalanche bit was genius and the snippets about the time with Katherine in the graveyard are juicy enough to keep me reading furiously for more. I was all like "what the dickens is with this copper box/dead baby/Katherine in the graveyard arc?" But the way the information trickles out is very well played.

I have Prince of Fools ordered from a small imprint, HC, numbered, signed. Paid 50 USD for it.

Suffice it to say: I"m a sold sucker for Lawrences work after reading the whole Jorg trilogy.

Many thanks! There have been blogs just today from Kevin Hearne & Brian McClellan on the importance of pre-orders to authors!

Hopefully you did well there. That was a limited numbered set of 250 and they sold out within 48 hours of being listed.

Well, Mark Lawrence,I hope I got it since they deducted the monies and gave me a confirmation number ^_^

To quote what I mentioned on Facebook: ya twisted mah arm mentioning the limited...

Still waitin' for that book. Now I'm worried :/

Tisteon: Prince of Fools is the new trilogy Mark Lawrence has started that is contiguous to the Jorg tale. New characters, revisiting old ones, etc.

Mutter, need to find a copy of Son of the Morning since it sounds good...

ed. interesting, I read Hearne's novels awhile back, good stuff... yet another book I'll wait for. I liked the time change (fast forwarding) his one book did, but it's been over a year since I read him last..... think he's next on reread.

That was a pre-order though. The copies won't be delivered until the book is published (June 5th). Which is still a ways off. If you relax and watch this http://www.onlinecou...%7C538d01f0%7C1 until it reaches 0, you should be golden.

Oh duh. THat's why you have that countdown linked so much on facebook...

I blame copious amounts for my reading incomprehension...

Finished Emperor! The ending was... I dunno what to think about it really. I truly enjoyed the series, and I sped through the last 15% or so very quickly. I would have liked to see Chella get killed though I guess she will die for real now. I also liked the idea of Jorg as Emperor but as the afterword said, it could have got old etc. It was a good ending I think my issue is that it didn't end like I wanted it to. Which is tough really so I'm not complaining! Excellent series & I am glad I read them.

Can't think what the next one is going to be about (obviously the Red Queen) but how will it fit? Is it after this series? Alongside it?

The blurb mentions the new protagonist at one point has a run in with Jorg, also that viking son is in it.

So - the latest news is that there's been significant interest from Hollywood!

http://mark---lawren...-hollywood.html

and the man behind it http://www.linkedin....hammer/5/68/97b

is really keen that readers be involved in every stage of bringing Prince of Thorns out as a TV series.

So if you want to help shape that and see the process from the inside, get involved here:

Exciting times, though still many miles to go :)

Congratulations on this opportunity!

Fans of the books, based on knowing where Jörg comes from and goes to in the books, might have a different opinion/tolerance compared to the non-readers a TV-series need to reach to be successful, but I guess mr. Hammer knows perfectly well what he's doing in asking them to contribute :)

True. And that's _you_ he's asking to get involved, with an opinion, a photo of a suitable actor, or just some guy who looks Jorgish to you ...

If you leave it to those other guys they're going to get it wrong! :D

We can all agree that Hayden Christensen would be the perfect choice to play Jorg, right?
