Played a lot more Mass Effect 1.

Besides gathering all the team members and doing the Bring down the sky DLC, I've not touched the actual story. I've travelled to pretty much every star system and launched probes and gone planet exploring.

I think I'm extremely over levelled by now. All the characters upgrade tree s are like 2/3rds maxed out and they all have lvl 5-6 equipment.

There's something about the games environment and item design that just works, even 15 years later. They used their limited graphical resources to create this minimalistic and futuristic look that makes sense. When everything looks prefabricated you buy it.

Was able to put a few more hours into Biomutant last night (been a fairly busy week with weather getting nicer)

Cleared some of the swamp area, helped a nice voodoo lady-critter.
Switched back to Rifles after swapping a new Magazine into my old favourite- now it's got ridiculous reload speed, and the combos are way smoother than with the automatic. Damage output is... comparable after a few tweaks.

The recent patch sure did help- got like 5 extra achievements when I booted up the game that weren't clearing before.

Gonna head back to the early areas in a roundabout way to try to get that Prybar upgrade, and hopefully un-bug the Automaton boxes quest, since I did some sequence breaking, and the game doesn't appreciate that.

Finished watching the let's play of Resident Evil Village. That's a hell of a game. It goes completely nuts in the last couple of hours. I mean even more nuts than it already was.

I love what they're doing with the gameplay. I wonder what on earth happens in a third game if they make it.

Between E3 and Euros, I haven't touched a game in almost a week.

And now there's a new Steam Festival and a new batch of demos to check out.

The fact that Focus released Hired Gun on GOG Day1 instead of the usual delay shenanigans makes me hopeful they're more on board now. Maybe I'm not gonna have to wait for Evil West and Plague 2, either.

I mean, Sony put HZD on GOG. If that's not a signal, I dunno what is.

I just made this last night. Basically just parked it up outside my base for now and had a look round it, but as far as I can see its more of a mobile base than for actual exploring. It attracts the big nasties with noise too so needs defence or decoys for any far travel.

My base is looking pretty good since I found a load of posters and furniture in the Aurora. Food problem solved by indoor planters with melons and potatoes; and I finally found enough fragments for the moonpool. Took an age to fit it onto my existing base for some reason, just didn't want to connect.

Still haven't made a Prawn suit, but seamoth has a few upgrades and gets a lot of use. Looks like you can store it in the Cyclops and take it with you; planning to stock up the cyclops with food and upgrades for some further exploration later.

I keep intending to put it on for an hour or so and then get so absorbed I stay up late.

I need some pro-Subnautica advice. The game tells me that the nearby crashed space ship has a drive that is about to go critical. I can't go near it because of radiation. Should I be worried about getting blown up? Do I have anyway to move my lifeboat?

It does a sort of explosion, yes. Then you should get the blueprints to make a radiation suit. You can then go to the broken end of the Aurora and climb up into it to explore. I took a while to do this and nothing exploded. Take enough food and water for a good search.. won't spoil it as its good to explore, but there are some repairs you can make inside to stop further leakage.

Tooling around an outcrop collecting rubies. I really love the Seamoth, have upgraded it with some shielding and depth modules.

I still get caught out when I leave it for too long, get that 30 second warning, and panic because I can't find it.

Summer Steam Sale is supposed to start on the 24th, according to some.
