I finished Firewatch in one sitting. I loved this game. I really did. I would advise to play the game like I did, on a big screen and with an excellent sound system. It was like Gone Home and Dear Esther but with more interactivity and someone to talk to. You should all try it.

It's definitely the voice actors performances that make Firewatch so enjoyable. Really great writing and dialogue.

Go play Inside now Morgoth, I need someone to discuss that game with.

Sort of sequel to Limbo from Play Dead:

Basically a kind of atmospheric platform runner. It feels like they took Limbo and poured money all over it.

Not yet. They have some kind of relationship with Microsoft that means it came out on X-box first, PC a week later and will come out on PS4 later. I've seen some rumors that it might be soon'ish.

There's always Abzü to play in the mean time, I guess.

Guilty Gear XRD: Revelator last night. I'm playing Ramlethal as I seem to have a thing for floaty underdressed ladies with hovering swords. Interesting to learn what I imagine will be my main matchup against Jam (my gaming partner mains her). Good fun overall. Don't like Potemkin. He feels so clunky and useless after Tager.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

The story sucks, but the game play is fucking awesome. Been stuck on a particular level for a while (keep dying). I don't mind though, probably because my deaths are mostly due to going full rambo into a billion nazis.

So I decided to buy No Man's Sky. IT is... meditative? Well, apart from that planet covered in ruthlessly aggressive dog sized crabs. Fuck those things.

I found a crashed space ship, having been pointed in the right direction by an abandoned base. It's deeeply broken, and only holds one slot more than mine. I haven't decided whether to repair it or not. I probably will, just for the aesthetic change.

I do wonder about the longevity of this game. The upgrades I've found so far have been rather... uninspired. But, so far I am really enjoying it.

I am loving it! I have got a hyperdrive so theoretically I can go anywhere but I have stayed right within my galaxy so far...

The planets are huge, I dunno how anyone will get far if they're like me and enjoy the exploration aspect... It took me all day yesterday to get 1 moon & 3 planets, and even then I had only truly discovered about 30-45% of them...

Allegedly, away from your starting galaxy, there are planets which are a lot less teaming with life so should be easier to discover...

Enthralling stuff though!

I found a new multitool that had several combat upgrades. I went back and fried crabs to my hearts content. Alas they kept coming in endless waves so I had to flee. At some point I will return to Goodkind's World and turn the surface to glass. Presuming that's ever an option.

Are you talking about the size of the game? It's around 6 GB. It's a procedurally generated galaxy so the game isn't big.

Well, if your system is old you better still check the demands. Procedural generation asks the system to do a ton of calculations.

PC version wont be out until tomorrow.

I am still waiting to see what the PC reviews are like. I hope they report that the pop-in is mitigated by stronger PCs.

I've started up a new game of Total War: Rome 2. I think it's amazing how awesome this game has become af the rather shoddy and disgraceful launch. But today, a few years later, it's really, really good. This with the understanding that it should have been this awesome at launch of course.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

I'm still playing fallout 4 mainly, which is pretty fucking impressive for a game I got at launch I think last November. My inner hoarder loves fallout games. It's to the point where I'm a little bored of now. Not sure what is next. Maybe a ng+ witcher 3 run through now that all of the doc is out? Or something new. I want to play mad max but don't know about another post-apocalyptic wasteland game so soon. Maybe give dragon age another shot, I liked it but didn't play enough for it to grab me.

Finished Doom 4. It edges out a 6/10. Disappointing, to say the least.

Mainly now I'm playing Rocket League and BlazBlue with a side of learning Guilty Gear. Thinking of putting some time into learning Terumi on BB - now that I have the timing down for 3c > cleaving fang and backward throw > 6d he's making a lot more sense, plus I don't usually play rushdown so it's good to mix things up a bit.

Buy No Man's Sky, Rly. It's a great podcast game to just mellow out to.
