Malazan Tattoo? Should I get one/ do you have one?

I love the idea! Itkovian is one of my favorite characters; his unbelievable compassion and pathos humble me every time I read MOI. My first tattoo was a collar piece, lined up below my clavicles. That's what I would suggest. It's a great spot, reserved for the piece you would give pride of place.
And I will say then/ Every tale is a gift/ And the scars borne by us both/ Are easily missed/ In the distance between us.
"I am Fener's grief. I am the world's grief. And I will hold. I will hold it all, for we are not yet done." Itkovian

It'll probably be decent sized so I'm thinking one shoulder down the back may be necessary. It was going to be on my wrist and be less intricate but it's my first and if I can get it to be the way I envision it it needs more space.
If your cat wasn't meant to fly, why wouldn't they make them bigger?

My advice is: go big or go home!
Things and stuffs...and other important objects.

Really cool. Well done!
The superfluous, that very necessary thing

I'll be getting flocks of crows for my children (they are old souls)... I want them to be mostly small, lots and lots of them, almost inumerable, and all except one (for each flock) to be in flight.. The bird at the front of the hip will be landing.. And up and to the sides, going up the ribs and sides to the back flocks and flocks... They'll join with my own wings (the feathers of MY wings will meld into the flocks)
Since my children have a part of me..
Based on the flocks that bring younger coltaine

That sounds amazing. Look forward to seeing your art. Mine will be going in at the beginning of the year. Lots of new beginnings for me. I'm just really glad all the tattoos here so far have had a deeper meaning behind them. I put a ton of thought into mine and I'm excited that the books brought that physical relevance to how I feel.

That's very much appreciated. Thank you very much for being supportive. It was a big part of my life so part of my transition honors that.

Just had my consultation with my Tattoo Artist this afternoon for my Fantasy Literature Half Sleeve, which will feature the Bridgeburner insignia, the first session is scheduled. I'm excited and nervous at the same time, it's been 5+ years since my last one and that experience was not too enjoyable, but it's a different artist who does some amazing work.

Earlier this week I went back for my second session for my half sleeve, this piece is on the inside of my arm and is how I've always pictured Roland Deschain from the Dark Tower. Pic spoilered for size:

So I've been wracking over my first tattoo and I think I know what I want to do. I want to do itkovian's line: "I am not yet done." but I'm not sure where. That whole part of the series really struck a chord with me because I'm prior military. Rather than need a spoiler box to explain the life parallels,I'll just say his story moved me at a time I needed to be reminded I'm not done either. Does anyone else have anything malazan themed on them or have any awesome ideas on placement or style as this is something I actually intend to carry forward. Pictures would be awesome and I will certainly post when I get mine done.
I love Memories of Ice; it's one of the most profound things I've ever read. I wanted to get a gravestone with Itkovian's name on it because he moved me so much.
