'Always an Even Exchange'

You might think my favorite quote would be "First in. Last out." being that it was my Army Cavalry units official motto/greeting of the day. Something like (Salute the officer) "First In, sir." the officer returns the salute "Last out." He drops his salute, and the "Army Scout" isn't said but implied. Anyway, though it is in the series and in real life, I would have to say I'm more drawn to the sublime "Always an even exchange." I admit I only remember a few times it is said. I'll list them, and you can tell me if I missed any others in the series.
Tattersail and the personal salute of the second army.
The High Mage getting recognized in Stonewielder.
Cotillion and Lostara in tCG.
Kalam thanking Quick Ben in tCG.
Did I miss any? I would like to know.

Somewhat OT, but not long after finishing tCG I put "Always an even exchange" up as my facebook status (I know, I know...) and the first comment I got from a buddy was "Reach-arounds?"

Silverfox walking with the two marines trailing her in MoI. Don't recall the exact exchange, but the phrase was there.

Erikson: From the very beginning, in creating this world via roleplaying, it was always an even exchange. I made up characters who interacted with his storylines, and he did the same with his characters acting in my storylines, so everything in the Malazan world has both of us in it. It’s the same when we get together in person: no matter how much time we’ve spent apart, living our own lives, we immediately fall back into that comfort of friendship and shared vision.

The part where all the ladies sit down and get drunk.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I think it was Orfantal in MOI who said "Always an even sex change."
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Always an even exchange is also a nice encapsulation of the the themes of balance and interdependent dichotomies that are discussed throughout the series =)

I preferred the formulation in the books up to TBH -- "Always an even trade."
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.
