You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

I'm thinking murdered horribly in his sleep could be pretty wrong.

Well you probably just caught him trying to sneak up on you. Next time remember to keep eye-contact, or he'll close in on you...

Here's a great example of what he's doing:

I had a black cat hunker down and "hide" as I passed him in a field today. His attempt to hide behind a tuft of grass 1/7 his size was largely unsuccessful.

Also known as the cat falling asleep on your face and smothering you to death. Extra gruesome if you're allergic.

Wait, it doesn't look like this does it? If so, you're either really lucky, or in big trouble.

I don't think any of those versions would be very camouflaged against the tundra.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
