At least Van Helsing had Kate Beckinsale, and Blade: Trinity had Jessica Biel!

Bcs name recognition is worth something, and the SHERLOCK HOLMES movie showed that sexing up an olde property with shiny fx and maybe a few mid-level stars can boost a shite movie to boxoffice success.



A good cast and a good marketing campaign will preclude the necessity for this. I just do not see the point in making yet another musketeers film. In fact, I think there comes a point when it would be counter-productive to do so.

Yeah, no sorry. In my head if this gets a number of young folk who don't know the story to look up the original, then it's good in my books. How would it be counter-productive for a property to be freshened for a new generation (who would be hard-pressed to want to watch a movie from a number of years ago) to discover it?
