That looks pretty awesome, so long as the bits in the trailer aren't the only good bits in the film.

Don't know why they're bothering with 3D though -- it'll only make it slightly more blurry and shit.

I have to admit not being sold on 3D, putting the glasses over my glasses is always uncomfortable however I love the Three Musketeers (and maybe, actually spent most of the summer after reading the book pretend sword fighting people). Matthew MacFadyen as Athos I greatly approve of and Titus Pullo!

Whilst it looks like a great cast, from the trailer I say this movie looks like a great, steaming pile of muskepooh. Was that...I mean...was that...a...fucking ship...flying.....

Meh, it seems like a fantastical take on the story. If they are going to have chicks in period dresses doing kung fu and swordfights then I am down with airships. The Three Musketeers has been made into like 84 films...why not have an Alt reality one?

Orlando Bloom should be legally forced to wear that moustache all the time.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Looks rather awful and I hate 3D with a fiery passion. That said, I love adventure movies like the 3 Musketeers, so I can only hope it's not as bad as it looks!

Aw god. I love the 3 Muskteers with all my heart. But this looks so bad.

Apocalypse? That does not bode well. That bodes the introduction of magic or some bullshit like that. Never mind the C19 machines into a a C17 story.

Sheesh.

Uh, is Zack Snyder directing this one too? :)

Oh come on, from the scenes of Milla Jovovich doing impossible actiony scenes you can tell it's a Paul W. S. Anderson movie. It's in his contract that all of his movies have his wife playing a superhero, otherwise he doesn't get any at home.

But it's clearly a fantasy-take on the story...I'm not understanding the dislike...you guys like da fantasy right?Even alt-history fantasy? Is it that Dumas is maybe an untouchable property for alt-history fantasy seeing as it's such a classic?

No disrespect meant though folks, just curious as I think it looks like lots of fun.

Haha. Nice. This is likely true. But hell, if i was married to Milla I'd want her to do all kinds of hot actiony sequences too.

It wouldn't be too bad, if they hadn't done this to practically everything with an awesome story in the last five years. That's my major grievance. I like my nostalgia for the older versions of the films.

I have to say, there will never be a better version (to me) than the Richard Lester versions.

very close to the original books in terms of 'feel' for me.

:) Waaaaaah, man, I feckin loved the muskehounds as a kid. That song will be in my head until I die and hearing it again put a big, stupid smile on my face.

As for the dislike of the fantastical alt-reality flying ship question, no, I do not want to see that dressed up as the Three Musketeers. Why the hell not just make a really awesome and cool and original film with flying ships, guns, Milla I-love-you Jovovich doing whatever she liked (in the red dress she wore in RE) and so on and so forth, but NOT call it the Three Musketeers???
