That would be the demon on Kellanved's warship, mentioned a few times during the series. I believe the ship's name was the Twist and it sank in the harbour due to shenanigans.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I think the ship was called the Twisted for some reason.
anyway its not that important nor do we ever see or hear from the demon in the series as far as we know anyway

Mainly it's just a slight nod to/affirmation of the fact that Kellanved apparently enjoyed employing demons, as we see with his old bar. Someone else pointed this out somewhere around here.
