Not sure who is behind this, but somebody has taken the stories of MT and RG and converted them into dogfort stories. It gets pretty mangled at times as the Malazan universe gets mixed with Dogforts own mythology and crazy cast of characters, but it is still pretty awesome. Somebody put a lot of work into this:

Exactly what I thought. It had like 4 upvotes on reddit when I found it. Somebody was obviously inspired. I wonder if it's somebody who lurks this forum as well?

Nope, I didn't.

Guilty as charged. :-) I did it because I love the series so much and it was an outlet for creativity during the rough winter months. I haven't had time in a month or so to work on it, unfortunately, which is why there is no ending as yet. I also have to resolve the fact that there is no magic in Dogfort, but Beak's sacrifice was the result of massive amounts of sorcery. That's been the choking point so far.

There is something that the two share - EXPLOSIVES
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Good point. I was also thinking Beak could somehow get a gigantic dog cone on his neck and it would catch all the raisins, kill him while functioning as an umbrella to dogfort and the fox elites below. Never got around to making the picture though.

Okay is it pathetic that I got a little misty-eyed over poor windowlicker Beak? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. :)

Yeah, that is absolutely the most devastating event of my fiction-reading life, why do you ask?
