You and my friend Reade need to have a serious heart-to-heart. He's exactly the same way.
We were playing Eve Online together and everything was 'FUCK FUCK WHAT ARE YOU DOING' and when we play MW(x) and Gears he's basically 'OK I'VE GOT (insert power weapon here) WHY THE BALL ARE YOU ALL DEAD FUCK' and such things.
I'm a very middling player in fps but totally top shelf in non-aiming based multiplayer.

I played a healer on City of Heroes. The worst part was when my group split into two groups inside the instance and I had to work overtime to keep both groups alive. It helped being the fastest flyer on the server, but it was still a hassle without end.
