He'd handed in the majority of it yeah... but was still touching up a chapter here or there...this is him officially completely done fiddling last minute bits.

Just in case the picture of Kong, the article on Wertzone, the written confirmation from the editor, and the video confirmation (that includes the editor reading random bits from the completed manuscript) weren't enough for anyone, the infamous "Ice and Fire Update" page on GRRM's site has now been updated with the official news.

EDIT: Now the page is loading with the previous "Not done yet, but July 12 is the official date" message, which is odd since it definitely changed this morning, not to mention the home page still says "New Material in SIF Update" as of today. Oh well, it doesn't really matter, the damn thing is done.
