I certainly assumed that Barghast was just the first casualty of enforced cashing in, myself. He *could* have been the FM, but...we really have no way of knowing. We only get a faction CF, and so far no night-action jumps. So how could we tell?

i wasnt going to hammer HP anyway, hes on my team.
so if we think that the FM is out there do we have any idea where? Im a team J, have been since the beggining.
also what the hell barghast? its a faction game and you voted against your faction! i can understand lynching amp (I was on that train too) it seemed like the right thing at the time.
But the korabas or merrid decision shouldnt of taken more than 5 secs of thought!
sigh
im on for the day if someone is hear to talk

Good man omtose. I am here for about one more second then I am going to eat dinner.
Barghast is going to have serious problems in the next game. For I will be looking to alt and kill them off. Amp was understandable almost all of us were on it. But Korbas would have put us up for good...arrrrggg....
I am 99% sure that Kalse is the K captain. There is a slight possibility that it is GL but that is just percentage data.

You know, for someone who is claiming to play for their team (sorry, WAS,
Really, FM wins if they get any captain? Well I hope HP's math is off (in fact, there's no way for me to know if it is or isn't). If Kalse is a captain, then it gives the K team a time frame within which J team need to be destroyed (It takes until the end of a hand of cards for the FM to be able to jump to a new body (according to Korabas)). Assuming the win condition is to completely destroy the other faction. I think the J members made a list of who was on their faction.

I honestly agree; if we go only by the evidence we have, I think the FM is already dead (maybe Fener?). The card game deaths don't seem to even make sense if one of them was really the FM jump. But yeah....there really isn't any way to tell.

It could be true that the FM can jump at the end of a hand, but I took that to mean simply that the FM had been traded to that faction....not that he intentionally switched.

If this is the case, that means the FM would have to have the ability to kill other than taking over one of the players. If, as some have said, the FM switching bodies does not entirely account for the loss of lives at the end of card hands, then we can assume that the FM didn't waste any kills that he may have been able to perform. If the FM is just a life traded back and forth, and can not really take another's game alt, I doubt he'd be much of a threat (or have any real significance in the game). He would have to be able to jump alts, or be able to perform a kill, to win. that's assuming there's an FM left.
edit: jumping switched with traded

I'm just going off what I read in the sign-up thread (no win conditions were formally posted in this thread, afaik), wherein a faction is defeated by the loss of its captain + second, and the FM needs to take a captain to win.
Not sure what it is officially, though. I think the FM was also able to kill, I'll go check...

the rules
this is a faction game, three teams begin the game with an equal number of player.
The captain (starts with the total of his team)
The second (starts with 25)
The poisoner (starts with 15)
The healer (starts with 10)
the chaff (starts with 10)
*snip*
While the game is being played, the players will be searching for the faceless man and betting on the outcome of lynches. The goal being to reduce other factions in size until their only their captain remains.
The faceless man is trying to become a captain. He has no coins, but can pretend to bet. He can find, kill or replace.

So, this is pretty much the setup as it was, barring all the talk of betting and credit transfers and such. Obviously it's changed a bit since then, but this is what it was.
The flavour at game start indicated the FM had to get to Kraiklyn, but that's not necessarily the case in terms of mechanics. Pretty hard to win if so.

The players are edging slowly around each other. "Who is the FM? Is the FM still alive? I believe he is the FM?"
Then one of them points out "Lets don't care about the FM. Lets lynch because of fractions." And he selects his target. But they are not enough to lynch and the fraction under attack decides to try and go for a lynchblock and hope the missing member is not coming on. But there he is and there he votes.
It is Day 4.
7 Players still alive: galayn lord, hood's path, kalse, merrid, omtose, osseric, silanah
4 votes to lynch, 4 votes to go to night.
1 Vote for kalse ( omtose )
4 Votes for hood's path ( kalse, osseric, merrid, galayn lord )
Players not voted:
Hood's Path is dead. He was of the Jernau Fraction.
@Omtose: I counted your vote for this day, so you lose the money.

So this leaves Omtose and Sil as the remaining Jernau, if I understand correctly.

For a start, mate, there's no more team changing. Secondly, you're expressly forbidden from playing against your team knowingly. >.<

Ouch! Hope we get our votes back after Omtose is modkilled. At least this will make it a little quicker.

I was wondering if anyone was going to die due to losing all their credits. It would have been a cool death to throw in the mix and add to the FM speculation.

Well, I didn't start the new day, as I am still resolving night. Yeah I'm slow. So your votes don't count yet.
