it is a bit complex but i think everything is covered.

what I like about this game is that every vote is important, and you can only vote once and it stays.

I'm somewhat confused as to what our motivation should be when voting. Like, why should we be voting for one person and not another (barring those in one's own faction)? Does this mean it's just a matter of getting enough people onto a train, any train??

Kraiklyn stepped up to the table, the two ghostly cards floating in the air before his eyes. For a moment the fogginess remained and he couldnt quite grasp the significance of the numbers and symbols etched into the cards, but clarity came like a flash. Years of experience unfolded in his mind, judging and considering the possible value of his hand. He looked around him, watching for some sign of recognition or thought, but everyone had the same blank nervous expressions. He felt the stake of someones life set blinking in and out upon the flat surface of the table, two other thick green chips beside it. They could be his, those lives, the choice of life or death given over to skill and chance, he hadnt guessed his own would also be on the table, but years of doing the hardest dirtiest jobs for this one moment made it taste even sweeter. Even still, he was a realist, and those credits wouldnt go far if he reached too high too soon.

Without even understanding how, he dropped twenty credits onto the table, though he hadnt even moved a muscle. It didnt look like much, two stacks of chips barely higher than an eaters jaw bone. They blinked twice before they were dwarfed by his opponents chips. Large dangerous lumps of coin, more than any sensible player would risk so early, that all kraiklyn could do was sit and stare. Slack jawed and piss scared, jjust like the rest of them.

Kraiklyn bets 20 credits.

Zakalwe bets 50 credits.

Jernau bets 25 credits.

Are you talking about the three lives already happening? That is a good quetions. Is that like an ante? Three are in regardless of cards? Also will everyone know what cards are dealt to the captains? I'd like to follow along with the card game. How are the cards determined? Does the Mods have a deck of cards on hand and deal out cards and run them out until all cards are known or does the mods make up what is dealt to which faction as he feels like it?

if everyone knew the cards the captains would have no reason to bet. i have a physical deck of cards at home, or if required i goto random.org.

each captain automatically pays a life into the pot at the start of the hand.
