Sorry guys was very busy today and my internet decided to fuck up as well, so haven't been able to get on for yonks. Finally got it working though.

That Tiam lynch was...interesting. Was a veritable pile-on after the first couple of votes, and for not much of a reason that I could see *shrugs*. That avatar-switch-FM thing was utterly ludicrous as well, could be construed as over-zealousness, i.e. FM trying to throw suspicion off on others.

Also, you're naked Sorrit.

you don't fool us Fener, here we are talking about low posters and you just show up almost straight away

with opinions pointing away from yourself, exactly what a captain would do, always watching the thread to see if they have any threat and then on you come.. good one

The mechanics of this game makes it very suspectible to pile-ons as you term them. It also makes people seemingly unwilling to vote, which is understandable. It's nice to see you turn up, but now I dunnow what to do

@ Amp
*shrugs* Such things always seem to happen with low-posters, just as they're about to post somebody goes 'wait a minute, where the fuck's this guy at? I think he's suspicious by his absence, maybe he's hiding something?' As for my opinions, where exactly would they go other than away from myself? From reading the thread, I'm pretty sure someone else mentioned my name in the same context earlier, so it's not like I've suddenly gone into a panic when my name was mentioned and burst on the thread to frantically defend myself from a low-posting accusation of all things.

Hmm, that's true, I guess I was expecting people to be more circumspect with throwing their vote around, as you only get one and lynching blindly gives a ~1/3 chance of hitting a teammate. Looking back it seems the primary motives from about vote 3 was to cash in for some chips? Still dunno why Tiam was picked by Korabas though, seems as though he picked him out of a hat.

I dunno why Korabas did as he did. However, GL's consequent vote on Ampelas made it seem, at least to me, that Korabas was on to something. Turned out to be wrong, obviously, but for a day 1 vote it wasn't bad in my opinion.

it was those who followed his vote, he said it was random which it could only have been as no one has day actions (to my knowledge) so number 2 and 3 were weird votes to jump on and go with it, especially when there were 2 other people who had votes on them. Tiam then OMGUS votes silanah spreading the voting to 4 different players, then everyone decides to vote Tiam, I didn't see the logic in it then I don't know, okay other than the avatar change there was nothin on anyone and then even after 3 votes other people could have moved away and voted someone else. I don't know if he got alted but Tapper is damn hard to guess

with Galayns vote, he probably knew tiamatha as the person above him so wanted to give an extra option, just because tiam turned out to be a life does not mean Galayn could not have been below him still.

my bet is that Galayn is also in the Zakalwe Faction but just a low life.

I cannot for the life of me remember a game where someone were lynched as a result of being alted. At least not in a serious game and especially not on day 1.

To me, GL's vote seemed like a clumsy attempt by a symp (yeah yeah, no symps and all that but faction members function as the same) to draw attention away from a vote on his master. It was in my opinion (duh) as good a basis for a vote as any.

edit: meant for Ampelas post following my previous one. Yes, the quote function might be a good idea. Also, I've got to go.

Yeah I get that, it just makes the latter train not all that useful. The main reason I saw was cashing chips, first brought up by Omtose. I sort of agree with Silanah's vote on Tiam in that GL looked very much like deflecting, and that vote on you looked just as random. I highly doubt Tapper was lynched because he was alted, especially so early in the day. Feuds are usually exercised through NKs, not lynches, and that's the only reason anyone would have to lynch Tapper in particular.

True to what I was saying about you before, i'd be more inclined to vote one of the other low posters, who are they at the moment?

Jernau smiled to himself as he watched the figure in his eye grow and grow. An impressive start to be sure, but he decided sometimes having a few less players was a risk as he discard one life with a small mental gesture. In the corner a steady buzzing began, and Jernau risked a glanced in time to see a life simply sit down on the floor, their body collapsing into a pubble on the floor.

"interesting," thought Jernau. "I would have expected a puddle, but with all those bits and bobs I guess it really is a pubble!"

tellan has expired. They were in the zakalwe faction

The earlier cf was too explicit - blame the alcohol!!

Jernau has won the first hand with two pair.

kraiklyn - Ace of Clubs, Jack of Clubs.

zakalwe - Five of Clubs, Jack of Spades.

jernau - Six of Hearts, Nine of Hearts.

Eight of Diamonds
Six of Spades
Two of Clubs
Eight of Spades
King of Hearts

I am waiting to see what kind of resolution we are going to have before deciding to vote. GL's vote is just about the only thing from yesterday that is interesting.

nice cross post. So I guess then that Jernau has an extra life and the zakalwe faction has only one life left to it. Hmm well this makes a GL lynch more interesting.

It's perhaps the most likely scenario.

As for low-posters, those below myself (on 7) are Merrid, Silanah, GL and Osseric (in ascending order). Not sure I'm in support of another random lynch though.

Zakalwe aren't doing too good at the moment are they? That means one of theirs has died, what happened to the Kraiklyn life? each of them bet one life, therefore Jernau must have recruited the life that Kraiklyn lost?

Probably, assuming Tellann was a life, DiBs made the CF more ambiguous, he could've been a second. Less likely, though the result is essentially the same. Jernau are in quite a strong position, that was a rather large pot, and Zakalwe lost 2 players.

Or Jernau becomes a target as the largest group, to keep things balanced.

I don't know, if I'm reading it right the captain can either accept the life or cash it in for 50 credits when they win. Perhaps Jernau decided to accept the Kraiklyn life and cash in the Zakalwe life based on yesterday's lynch?
