Roldom and I helped MOD this game to some degree, I suppose once day one is over whoever is killed/lynched could help again, once you get into it, it isn't too troubling,

Pretty standard practice, yeah.

It works, but sometimes with 36-hour days, a mis-lynch on day one, it ends up being a long time RL with no assistance, and players get shortchanged. Easier if someone is already there to cover the off hours. :)

*shrugs* It doesn't look too hard, but I can't remember the last time I was killed before Day 3 so I've never had the opportunity to help mod.

It's not too hard, generally. It varies depending on the complexity of the game - I remember that even an experienced mod took one look at my CFUM setup and said they'd rather not try and do anything important, just time updates.

But your average game, even up to TMDI 8 or 9, is pretty easy to keep track of generally. :)

I'm surprised you haven't had the chance yet, MTS. It's great for helping your understanding of a game, too.

That's exactly why I want to do it. Generally when I've wanted to games have either already got a co-mod or look too interesting to sit out and mod (Rome, for instance). By the time I generally die people are already helping out anyway. I've only really expressed the interest since around Mafia 60-65 though.

You're welcome to step in as co-mod on one of my game projects, the soonest opportunity will probably be if/when I run a M&P, but I'm also still working on 2-3 high tmdi games (King Arthur, Spycraft 3 and secret project X :)).

Didn't matter last Dresden game, can't see it mattering this one.

Can I call dibs on being Molly again? :)

on that note, if i'm Dresden again, could I at least be TOLD that EVERYONE WANTS ME DEAD?

that was the only issue i've had with that game. aside form which, it was great.

* I know Silencer didn't mod that last one, but it still stings, dammit

i could run a tmdi 10 culture damage game but to be honest it could fail miserably as its three faction game with some texas hold em, no time limits, a faceless man, and 2 tiered betting :) oh at it would require at least 16 players.

Any game of tmdi 10 with unknown mechanics can fail spectacularly, we all know that, and knowing that... so what? :)

MTS, you should jump in head first. Pick a theme and create your own M&P. Get Grief or somebody to set up the alts with new passwords and away you go. :)

(I want to play, so don't look at me to co-mod if you decide to do it. :))

Generally it's the spectacular failures that are the most memorable.

@Veng, bring it on. :p

I nominate Ainsible to be the Hound of HHM. seriously, the guy just doesn't let go.

Hehe, I like this. Perhaps someday it will work to my advantage....

I just want to say thanks to the veterans for welcoming new players, I really enjoyed myself.
