According to the wiki, Yue Jiu was a military commander who died resisting Cao Cao almost 20 years before this game takes place. Does anyone remember a Yue Jiu in previous games? I don't, so I'm not really sure about this reveal.

Isn't the more obvious answer that there's two killers?

This is what I was thinking. One gets a kill in as soon as possible to avoid the chance of being guarded, and the other kills at the end of day to try and disrupt any lynches (and remove suspicion if they do it later to prevent scum lynches).

Not necessarily, with a game with this many players it's quite within the realm of possibility to have 2 killers. 1 kill between 2 scum with 17 players seems a bit harsh, anyhow.

As the rushing waters fled south to drown Ma Teng's camp, Li Tong turned and ran towards his army north of the river. As he neared the rise where the army was re-forming, another dozen black-clothed figures with heavy long knives arose in the grasses to surround him. From the hilltop, Li Tong's field-regent Yue Jiu saw his commander surrounded and rushed down to assist. Half-way down the hill, an arrow sped out of the darkness and drove into his leg. As he limped towards the army, hollering for their support, another arrow flew from the darkness, piercing his other foot and pinning it to the earth. Yue Jiu spun around, but saw only the cold fury of eyes so dark they were nearly black staring into his own, while a jagged sword thrust threw his gut.

The Dude is dead. He was Yue Jiu, General Who Conquers the North of the Lu Dynasty

Normally yeah, and the one kill yesterday suggests this. We might have two vigs. On the other hand, the odds are slim they'd both choose to use it on the same day.
