Yeah, there's a spider.. Need to work on her expression [Hellian's, not the spider's, though the spider needs some work, too] a bit more, but I figured since I talked so much about it, here's what I managed to redo today.. Pretty sure that's Skulldeath it's referring to in that passage (if it's the one I think you're talking about).

Hellian may not have much physical descriptions, but she is Kartoolian, so there might be descriptions somewhere of other Kartoolians? If not, well Kartool is off the coast of the Untan/Bloorian regions, which sound pretty white-European/caucasian in skin and hair colour, so fair-skinned and hair in the blonde-to-brown range would be the most logical assumption in my mind.

In RG she's described as soft looking, with bright lips. Not much help I'm afraid.

I was thinking about giving her blonde hair with a slightly red tinge.. Any good?
Because iirc none of the Kartoolians we encounter [Hellian, Urb, Touchy-Brethless, Banaschar] aber ever described.. *sigh*

AHHH! Hellian is great! that's pretty much spot on how I picture her and her expressions! always get a good laugh out of that woman!

looks like a great beginning there grim, i think the rounded face is really spot on, i'm just not sure if the eyes should be tilted that way. makes me think of tiste not imass, but maybe i'm forgetting something

I think it looks very promising, I love the composition, if she had a card in the Deck (she doesn't, does she?) I could imagine it looking something like that. About the eyes I can't remember it being mentioned but having them tilted in that way naturally makes them appear feline which... well, duh. She is a bit slim for how I imagine the Imass though.

Since QoD didn't receive enough popular support to make the calender I decided to give her some attention. Problem is I remember absolutely nothing of what she looks like so I've only improvised. Thus, hints would be much appreciated. As would ideas for a background. Also if no one recalls anything about her appearance tips on queen-like accessories befitting her majesty's status as the Queen of Dreams would be helpful. The feather crown was the result of desperation, so you know how out of ideas I am.

I believe the Adjunct should have a place in the calender too- even more so than Laseen. I know she doesn't come across in any way as sensual, stimulating, sexy, erotic and what not .... but she is going to take on the Crippled God. That's guts, and bravado! For that alone, she deserves to be pinned up. What with artistic freedom and stuff. Spice her up!

oh and while I' m at it.... what about a calender for the female readers? featuring- let's see - Karsa Orlong. Karsa Orlong setting off on Havoc from his village, Karsa Orlong and Havoc riding down the Steps of Bones, Karsa Orlong as prisoner of the Malazans bound to the mast on the passage from a to b (wherever), Karsa Orlong crafting his flint sword, Karsa Orlong as Toblakai in Raraku, Karsa Orlong fighting the Deragoth, Karsa Orlong besting the K'Chain Che'Malle, Karsa Orlong facing the Emperor in Letheras.
Or whoever else takes the female reader's fancy.
