Weird half hour then.
Tried my luck against the hydra and the frost antronachs which didnt work as the hydra are like supersoakers. So i went back to the bonfire and found the valley of the drakes which is pretty cool. I then killed a few of them and wandered upto this dragon on a ledge and kiled it easily then had a wander and found blight town and the key for londo. Went to go back to fireshrine to get my bearings and fell down the empty elevator shaft... Smooth...
Also where are these depths that i have a key for from the capra

Right outside the fog door to the Capra demon, there is a staircase to your right. Go down there. The door to the depths will be on your right.
uhm, that should be 'stuff.' My stiff is never nihilistic.

Ah thanks.
I went another way and killed that butterfly thing. Was pretty easy actually. I could have sworn there was another foggy door in the forest bit but maybe not. Gonna try these depths tonight i think.

No. You'll know when you meet the Gaping Dragon. It's a pretty spectacular enemy, though not the most difficult one by several orders of magnitude I think.

I really like the Gaping Dragon fight. The creature design in this game is creepy and bizarre.
One of my most frustrating and therefore memorable fights was the Stray Demon though.
I killed the undead dragon last night too. Again, I found the drakes much easier to kill with magic. 3 or 4 heavy soul arrows each. I think I'll try the hydra and moonlight butterfly next, then maybe sif.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I need these Heavy Soul Arrows. I only have normal Soul Arrows.
I tried the Capra Demon 4 times, running down from the short cut from "the undead burg". I just cannot get up those stairs except once and I died anyway. I just don't think i'm good enough!

Keep trying. Its different each time you go through,so you have to adapt within the few seconds you have. If you block the first dog attack, and roll or run around without locking on, you should be able to get up the stairs.. running and rolling, as the dogs will be on your heels! I got onto the ledge, turned, blocked, and killed both dogs with a sword, hitting the wall too.. a spear might be better. Then I could target Capra.
Just keep at it, it's a pain but do-able.
Did you free Griggs the sorcerer yet? He sells the heavy soul arrows. He's in a house on the street at the opposite end to the capra door. (You can buy the residence key from the undead merchant.)

I'm going to buy that key tonight and get those arrows.
It's scary this game. I cannot play it for long periods of time. I just get freaked out. I want to play it all the time but then I play it and need a rest.

The Tomb of the Giants is a scary place.. as it's mostly pitch black. Then there's the hordes of little baby skeletons..

I beat Sen's Fortress - awful experience in the middle, much better towards the end in terms of how I was coping - and demon-hopped over to Anor Londo.
What a sight that aerial view was. I'm just boshing the giant steel soldiers right now to build up my strength and vitality, but it's already harder than the last level. Damnit.
Opened up the Crest of Artorias door too. That was some great farming, but I think Anor Londo will give me more. Might go back to get some Gold Pine Resins built up or go back to get a bunch of humanities if I can from the Sewers.

I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Found a bonfire but have no clue how to get back to it. As all the enemies respawned i lost my bearings. I wandered through a foggy door but it just led to somewhere id been before. Ive got a foggy door now which is screaming boss batlle so ill probably get destroyed.

While a good cutscene i easily killed the gaping dragon first time. Is there a way out of the sewers or is blightown the only way out now? Also whats with that merchant by the gate can i trade with im if i have something strange

The merchant by the gate to Blighttown sells armors from certain bosses you defeat. He will relocate to near Firelink Shrine once you progress through the game a little bit more. And yeah, the Gaping Dragon is one of the easiest fights in the game. He looks really cool, but I think that the larger bosses are usually the easier ones (although Kalameet says "fuck you!" to this, particularly if you're melee).
You should be able to find your way out of the sewers, but Blighttown is where you need to go next.

Cannot find my way out of the sewers and am now on the road to get the 45000 souls ive just lost in Blighttown. If ive got like 14k but need 15k to level up do I just have to carry them around with me?
Those fucking toxic sniper thingies are annoying and theyre what killed me. Equipped a spider shield to see if it helps me any but need those 40k souls back.
In other news im still running around in my first set of armour the game gave me and wielding a standard longsword. Ive got all sorts of embers and titanite stuff along with that butterfly soul but not the foggiest what to do with them. Im more scared of using them up and needing them later when I know more of whats going on

Have you got a homeward bone you can use? It will send you back to the last bonfire you saved at, if you're really desperate.
If you talk to a smith, and they ask for an ember, give it to them, as each smith will only take the ones they can use.
You can use regular titanite to uprade weapons and armor. Once they reach +5, you need to give them an ember to upgrade further. Once you have a +10, you will get the options to upgrade to divine, fire, lightning etc, or use a boss soul to make a unique weapon.
Then, you can upgrade that to a max of +5 using rare stuff like demon titanite.

Yes I know ive used it once before. I try not to use them as im a hoarder. Its ok now I found my route from the sewer bonfire to where I lost those 40k souls and found a bonfire near there. Making my way through Blighttown atm but saved to make food. Those fire breathing small dogs are a pain as are the one hit kill snipers but here we are.
I assume there is some sort of massive tentacled beast kicking about down here given the vein I had to hit.
Sorry for taking over this thread but everyones advice on this page gives me just enough to go on without telling me what to expect making it much better than a guide.
EDIT- Is it worth me just doing up my longsword? Id prefer a wide swinging great sword tbh. Ive ogt demon titanite along with green and blue I think so I might just have a look for a great sword and go with that.
