Paran moved his army through warren to arrive right at the keep that houses the CG's heart. The keep is sealed by the FA so no one else can get to it. He's waiting for Tavore to turn up so they can tonk the FA.

Calm is one of the last twelve (thirteen?) pure-blood FA left, at least in that area. The Watered and the Shriven are FA-human crossbreeds and are much weaker, hence why the ones chasing after the Snake were so easily despatched.

I can see what Pat meant about rereads being essential now. Eloth=Mockra, Calm turning up again ... So many great revelations in the first ten pages!

I think the body Mael took to K'rul was Ruthan Gudd's. He's one of the few that has been close to Tavore who has the power to remain within his body even when he's killed. Quick would have more than one soul in there, so it's not going to be him. Interesting though that K'rul and Mael are pinning their hopes entirely on Tavore, but to do what? Do they know of her plan to free the CG? Do they want this to stop Errastas, Setch et al?

And at least we can make a fair guess at who the dragon is on the front cover now.

I dunno, im leaning with Keneb for some reason, also loved this line made me laugh a bit :

OK, so...Mael and Krul are desperate.
So it was really that fucking bastard Errastas who threw BH into path of Nahruk
Corpse... I hope it is not Brys... Mael looked at corpse when he said "I saw it with Brys´eyes"...well, but why guilt? Is it Gudd? Keneb? (he is torn apart in many, many pieces) Or...Fiddler...? Strong enough to be in guilt, to hold in his body... This scene is too painful.

Liosan are making dragons, nice...hope Watch will slay those bastards...

Paran assaulted warrens...hah!

Cotillion is trying to do something with dragons...expected.

Iccy lives. Its good...but he is feeding FA...bad...hope he wakes in best moment...and angry.

Is it just me, or is it possible that the dead body in the Mael and Krul scene could be Anomander Rake? One would imagine that during the time he wielded Dragnipur he would feel a lot of guilt and be torn apart. Pat also mentioned Rake in his review as if we would see him again in some way.

Now where is that "I hate the Errant" club? I'd like to join, and recommend him for the "Greatest douchebag in Wu" award.

OK, I reread this part again. Krul wanted the body. It must be someone who was in battle, thats why Mael glanced at him with "I saw it through Brys tears". But Krul wants him for getting to Tavore. Into her hearth. So, who was so close? Who was so much ridden by guilt? It points to Keneb. Or Fiddler.

edit: And was I only one, who didnt realize in DoD that clash of Nahruk and BH was Errant´s work?
