Okay fuck.

I hate to go back on my word, but after I stopped watching...Chris went on and told me I ought to watch episode 7 ...

...I was curious, but not excited to watch it.

Sweet merciful Jeebus and other gods....

This show just did a 180 and the show I remember it being from the CHILDREN OF THE EARTH days showed the fuck up.

This is mutha fuzukin' TORCHWOOD!

Gods, if you told me that at 7 episodes in after boring me for a few that TW would win me back in spades, I'd have questioned your sanity and my own....but damned if it didn't.

This episode had EVERYTHING that you want from a TW episode and it's almost 85% Jack, 10% Gwen and 5% newbies (and even THEY are finally good)

BAsed off this one, I am totally IN for the remaining 3 episodes. Sold.

Damn. I hate going back on my word. LOL

Could I watch episode one and then skip to episode seven without missing too much?

LOL, you could probably watch ep 1, and then trawl the reviews at my site for eps 2-6 and then watch 7 and you'd probably be okay. LOL

I may just do that. Well, I'll watch episode two, and maybe three, and if it's really getting boring then I'll do that.

That would be the "sci-fi" element finally showing up on a sci-fi show on episode 9.

I didn't mind it, but found it somewhat anticlimactic :)

Yeah I didn't care for that finale much.

io9 said it right. TORCHWOOD MIRACLE DAY was an onion that took too long to peel and only had one layer.

Lackluster is stretching it.

and for my first post in this thread: i really thought there was gonna be some more exposition about what the blessing really is.

hopefully season 5 will get at it. i mean, they can't really just forget that there's a massive shaft in the earth that's calibrating the human race, can they?

You need to watch CoE!!!

I'm not sure if I want to watch season 5... which is a shame as I love the concept of Torchwood.

oh i did. that one was freaking brilliant. jaw on floor brilliant. i think making it a five-part mini-series helped it to click along nicely, plus the reason for the children was a fascinating twist.

Yeah having only watched the first 2 seasons I can say that I think MD was the weakest. I still need to watch CotE. While MD had some really great moments in it I found that it really didnt hold a candle to SE 1&2. I loved Bill Pullman and Lauren Ambrose though and Im glad that the 3 Families can have more developement in SE 5 when Russell feels the time is right to write it.

Go watch CHILDREN OF EARTH now sir! It is the best work they ever did!

The chances there will be a fifth season are slim as STARZ said that TORCHWOOD would have had to perform exceptionally well for them to renew it...and it was getting numbers like CAMELOT...which they cancelled...

So right now the best we can hope for is that it returns to the BBC where it started....but I think Davies might be done with the concept for the moment since MD didn't perform nearly as well as he hoped.

And yeah, the explanation of the Blessing was too little too late for me.

That's the best one. Prepare yourself for TORCHWOOD excellence BK.

Just got done watching Day 5.. That was a twisted season. WTF he killed his grand kid!! I was thinking the little tyke would come back like Meki Phifier getting Jacks blood(considering he ACTUALLY has Jacks blood being his grandson).

Pretty fucked up. But damn that's compelling TV. I love that Jack had to make that decision...
