Plot:
"The plot of Miracle Day is the most explosive Torchwood storyline yet. One day, nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep aging - they get hurt and sick - but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight. With all the extra people, resources are finite. It's said that in four months' time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can't be a natural event - someone's got to be behind it. It's a race against time as C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking "What is Torchwood?", he's drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human, forever."
I like that Starz has this, it seems a fit for the violence, shocking subject matter and nudity the show requires....I also like the casting of Mekhi Phifer, as that guy can act! I know nothing of Alexa Havins...but she's hot so I'm cool so far. Bill Pullman playing a charismatic pedophile who was destined for death til the Miracle Day...seems uncomfortable...but then this is Torchwood.
That we still have Barrowman, Eve Miles, Kai Owen and even Tom Price makes me excited, because they are the core of this show now and the American's can only add to the ranks in interesting ways. I think what I am especially looking forward to is that this show is going to do what a lot of other supernatural shows can't do...and that is make this thing feel more global. I think that after the Children Of The Earth storyline that this is the best way to move forward...with this old, secret British institute...sorry, but that just gives me goosebumps.
but then I love all three series of TORCHWOOD so far, so I may be a fanboy....
