All of that may be so, but how is that a complaint? Like, rather than just alternative thoughts about what might be the case.

For those who might be interested...
tbh unlike many I wasn't completely, or even slightly, bowled over by The Breach et al... but I can see this working.

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Same guy who directed The Last Stand with Arnold. I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing.
I wonder who is going to have the leading role. As Travis is 40 something years old I would say the role is perfect for Tom Cruise. This kind of story is right up his alley. In the young 20 something area I am not sure what actress really fits.
I would definitely have Sean Bean play the father.

Goyer also directed Blade: Trinity, so that's one black mark against him... He also helped to write Chris Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy and Man Of Steel, so that's... well... pretty much neutral...

Check out the thread first SM. I already posted this yesterday.

To be fair, SM posted a different link.

I'm in agreement with SMZ that we should all strive to be fair. At the very least, let's adopt a minimum standard of fairness that fosters conversation and debate rather than abates them, re: the posting of links.

To the same story/information!
I win.
LOL
@Worry: It was mostly tongue in cheek. I always get shit for not reading threads with links to the same bits of info.

Quantifiably, vis-a-vis QT's above post re: tongues, cheeks, etc., the median fairness quotient in this thread has risen enough to satisfy the call to be fair as far as I am concerned.

So has anyone else read Lee's Runner yet? It came out in February. (Here's my review from last December.)

I'm awaiting the MMP version to come out, as I've been buying too many hardcovers, but it's still really high on my WantToRead list.

Found it second hand a while ago, it's in the TRPFH, but knowing it's 'just' bk 1, have been less than jumping on it. Tempted tho, now that you mention it...

But Runner's not a "book 1". It's a standalone story. (If there are sequels planned, (a) he sure fooled me, and (b) I don't even know how he'd do it.)

I think it is a planned series...at least about the protag...the subtitle is (Sam Dryden #1)
