Maybe off on a tangent but what about that guy "the one who walks behind" or whatever his name is, wasn't there some wild vendetta with him too...

Just that he was trying to get a hold over Harry to start off with, along with that other apprentice iirc... And that who knows where he has been and who he has been hanging out with; all pure wild speculation though going on past tendancies, if he's out there at all..!

Plus having a hold over Harry, got to include Tyrant of the entire universe... Mister! Definately worth a mention!

Was reading White Knight and had a bit of a crazy theory, although I get the feeling that I've possibly read the theory elsewhere and forgotten about it may not really be mine!

I get the feeling Cowl could be Harry's dad, with Kumori being a possible half sister?. Even though we've seen him talking with his dad in the dream world, there is nothing to tell us that he is definately dead. Dresden sounds like a German name and Kemmler was European so he could have been one of the disciples who turned to a life of stage magic in attempt to hide from the wardens. Cowl could possibly have forced "Lash" out of Harrys head on purpose and all those near misses might have just been an attempt to get Harry to back off before he realises who Cowl is. I think there where some other details that i have now forgotten, but just thought id put the idea out there.

Oh yeah, and then my Dresden theory before reading ghost story was that Cowl or Kumori bring Harry back to life. Seems like Necromancer territory anyway!
