Has anyone who lives in the US and ordered Stonewielder from Book Depository received their copy yet? This is seriously getting a little ridiculous, as I got an email on the 23rd telling me that the book had shipped. Haven't seen a sign of it since. Does it normally take this long, or should I contact the site?
uhm, that should be 'stuff.' My stiff is never nihilistic.

I'm in the same boat, right down to the Nov. 23rd shipping, though I contacted the site last night and got this e-mail back a few hours ago:
Quote
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am terribly sorry to hear that you have not received your shipment, we dispatched the title on the 23rd November to:
....
Is this correct?
It really should have arrived by now, perhaps it is delayed in the post. If you still haven't received it by Monday 20th we are happy to send you a free replacement or refund you in full, whichever you'd prefer?
Kind Regards,
Stephen

I'm in the same boat, shipped the 23rd, contacted them Tuesday evening, got a similar reply this morning, and it appears that they left off the zip code on my address and they want you to check with your local post office. The only problem with that is that the USPS worker asks you for a tracking number or the number from the customs form, and since all we have is our order number from Bookdepository there is nothing the post office can do. So I'm gonna have then send me another copy and if the other one shows up in the meantime I'll have two copies. The thing is that there was no issue when I ordered Dust of Dreams from them...

Yea I asked them and they said that perhaps it was delayed because of the christmas rush. If it didn't arrive by the 16th (today...and it didn't) to email them making sure they had my address right. They did though, so Idk wtf is going on. Not sure what i'd do if they offered me a replacement or a refund...I assume it must show up eventually, and the reason I bought it there was that it was cheaper than Amazon or anywhere else I saw.

Actually, I didn't.

This is exactly the e-mail I was sent, including the 16th date, address, and let them know. I did so today. I will be asking for another book to be sent. They screwed the pooch somewhere, I'd guess. Too many coincidences otherwise.

I got it about a week ago in Vancouver BC. To be honest I think someone in the postal system probably opened it, read it and threw it away to save you some time.

Fixed.
Book Dep isn't fast but they're usually reliable. That said this is like the busiest time of year for packages and i suspect most of you are on the receiving end effect of that. hopefully.

i got the same speil from their once a day email response team. after the email where they told me to go to the post office, i called my cc company and requested a refund. i sent book depository an email stating this and they sent me some garbage back. i guess somewhere saying that i disputed the charges with my cc company, they processed that as processing a refund.
I'm sorry to hear this hasn't arrived. I have processed a refund for you as requested. Funds will clear within 1-3 working days however, if you have opened a dispute the funds may be rejected from your card. Kind regards, Zara Davis Customer Advisor The Book Depository Ltd

I ordered mine from amazon and it was suppose to be delivered on the 13th. But nothing yet. I am considering drastic Abyss type of action against the royal post.

I have posted my frustration elsewhere, but I ordered through amazon.uk, received the "dispatched" sign on November 22, and was told the expected date of December 14th. I actually ordered two copies, one for my brother-in-law in Maine, and the other for myself out here in the American West. He received his copy on Tuesday (the 14th), I have yet to receive it (the mail has already arrived for another day). It shouldn't take this long to get something across country, though now that I think about it, we ordered a christmas book from amazon (the U.S. version) and haven't received that either. I'm think the problem here isn't amazon.uk or Book Depository, but the good ol' U.S. postal system, particularly after that storm that took down so much of the Midwest. But I would like to know if anyone west of the Mississippi has received the book.

I've received three books I've ordered from Border's, Amazon, and HPB, two weeks after Stonewielder was shipped to me. I'm in the middle of that shitstorm of the mid-west. These were shipped and arrived during said shitstorm.

I'm on the eastern seaboard and we haven't gotten any bad weather yet... I preordered this in earlier Nov and got an email that it shipped on the 23rd!!!!! even with the Christmas rush it shouldn't take a frigging month for a package to arrive in the US from the UK... If there isn't a delivery notice in my mailbox on Monday I'm requesting that they dispatch me another copy and they are giving me an official tracking number from the royal mail.
