Looks good. Hopefully this time they've done away with the racist twins and brought Bumblebee back as the main comic relief.
Just wondering what ship that is.

That's a really good trailer completely ruined by the "from director Michael Bay". It's like, I want to get hyped for the film on the basis of that but I can't because I know it won't live up to it.

The Apollo modules ROARING to the Moon was enough for me. That's a very well constructed trailer, right up until the time when it tells you what film it's a trailer for. The film will be shit, of course, but Michael Bay's directing it so that part goes without saying...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Well, the trailer takes place entirely in the 60's, maybe that's what they meant.

No, no, you're all focusing on the wrong thing. It's not the common-as-muck space-sounds. It's not that it's directed by Michael Bay, or even that it's a Transformers movie. That's not going to be the worst part (because let's face it, even if it's shit, we'll all still watch it eventually in some way, shape, or form). The worst part game right at the end.
In. 3D.
I can't believe the amount of poorly done 3D movies that have been/are being released this year and next year. They all try to go cautious and release them in 2D as well, which fucks them up, but 3D itself is crap. I've yet to see an actual 3D movie (as in, commercial release, not dedicated theme-park variants, which are often actually pretty good) in which the 3D was worth it. They have all been ruined by the hype on the 3D. So fuck you, Transformers 3. Fuck you.
Anyway, the ship kinda reminds me of the crashed autobot ship from the animated series...you know, with Teletraan 1? But then, we know the Decepticons have a ship on the moon too (as of Transformers 2), so...

Actually I think it's in another solar system, it seemed more like a base than a ship.à
Also, I don't think it's the Ark, or more honestly I hope it's not the Ark.

First I loved the first two movies, even if some things angered me a bit(no transformers theme song, Bumblebee is not a camaro, Optimus was a mack truck, random robot fighting in the desert) I still enjoyed them, so am looking forward to this moving immensly.
This trailer was awsome and I can't wait, even with Bay and the 3D I will love it. I'm wondering, and this is just something that popped up with the visuals when they zoomed into the robots eyes, but could the bot be the movie version of Unicron? Even though they already did the hole planet destroying thing in 2.

Neat trailer. No doubt the flic will be as flawed as the others, but even so...

I thought the trailer kicked ass.
I thought the trailer kicked ass.
Briefly, when Megatron is revived, he flies into space, visiting Starscream who has been watching the 'hatchlings' and the Fallen, who is connected to the 'Nemesis' (the ship) until he hears Prime is dead and then he goes to earth to use the sun-destroying thing in the pyramid.
And I'm pretty sure it was on the moon, just based on implied travel times...it could be a different moon in our solar system, though, 'tis true.

Dark of the moon? Haven't they missed a word out of that or something?

Reserving judgement, but will see it. I won't be seeing it in 3D, however. I'm glad when they release a film in 2D as well cos it's cheaper and you don't have to wear uncomfortable glasses throughout the whole thing.

Can't wait to see this. Don't care about you haters, TF1 and 2 were awesome. This will probably be even more insane.
And considering half the movie is already computer generated, adding the 3D effect shoudn't be much of a problem.

Bay has apparently listened to what the fans want and made this movie more serious. Also i hear the footage looks amazing.

Does it have big robots beating the shit out of eachother and transforming in to stuff? That's what I expect. I enjoyed the first two movies because they had those things.

The second film was a bit... shallow.
Just a action packed roller coaster ride with not much story and where at times you couldnt tell who was fucking who up.
It was like watching two cars crash.
Im all for action and robots and all that but there is a line that needs to be drawn and hopefully this time the balance is better.

The problem wasn't that it was shallow - I watched Unstoppable the other week and that's as shallow as they come, and also one of my favourite films of the year - it's that it was badly told, often incomprehensible to look at and failed miserably at being funny.
The first one was good fun. The second one... just painful. Hopefully the new writers and Bay apparently dropping the goofyness helps.
