I remember in tBH the three imprisoned dragons talking to Cotillion about how they were chained and describing him as the master of the Deragoth. I've been waiting to hear about it from the books that followed but (as per usual with SE) nothing concrete has been given. Speculation time! Evidence: being the master of the Deragoth would have to make him Elder or Darkness assosciated, he was also powerful enough to subdue three Eleint by himself or with the help of the Deragoth nearly killing them in the process. from the little I have seen this sounds like Anomander Rake. He was at the time on a warpath with the Eleint from my guessing of the timeline (ignore the timeline). Thoughts?

The Errant scowled and looked away, his good mood evaporating. 'Mortals,' he said, 'will eat anything.'

It's been a while since I've read the older books, and I probably shouldn't reply because I'm foggy on it, but:
No idea what book the information is from (if I'm not imagining it completely 8P)so I'll toss it in spoilers:

Maybe i'm missing something but where do the Deragoth even come up in the discussion between Cotlllion and the 3 dragons?
Are you maybe thinking of Dejim's inner monologue about being hunted by the deragoth and their master? I vaguely recall speculation from the 'Gral legend of the last edur' bit in Rg that the master was Dessimbelackis or an unknown mage who was around in the First Empire.
All that aside, we know Rake has pretended to be human for periods, so on some level i have to admit the notion that Rake was the master of the deragoth while hanging out in the First Empire is kind of neat.
But i do not think the deragoth had anything to do with Rake chaining the three dragons. Pretty sure that was him solo, or with Kila's help.

Never been sure on Dessimbelackis as far as the Deragoth go. I mean to say, that is, is he the Deragoth now, or their master? I remember reading somewhere (not sure which book....wanna say DG) talking about him making bargain with them and that he was now either them, or binded to them.
Oh well. Anyways, it does seem that this former FHE Emperor is pulling some Kellenvad action of his own throughout the series, with his hands seemingly involved in some behind-the-scenes action. Give Telorast and Curdle a TA body to use and share? One of his former First Heroes becomes God of War? The Path of Hands? (ok...maybe stretching it a bit there...) Dude has some shit going on it seems, game-playing wise. Of course, i could always be completely wrong......

Abyss is right, it was Dejim talking about the Darkhounds having a master.
Seems more likely to be Dessimbelackis than anyone else - his Di'vers form was the Deragoth after all.

It is my hope that Karsa will become their master later on. In HOC it mentions how they are masterless and maybe looking for a new master, but no one could beat them in this age to become their master. Well Karsa killed 2 so i can see the other 5 letting him become their master.

Ah, thanks for that.
