I guess I'm too blinded by my, uhm, opinion about photomanipulations being used as fantasy book covers to give a thought out opinion at the moment. But I guess I like the idea, just not the execution.

No spoilers but the scenes involving Yedan and the dragon(s) are ridiculously awesome. Personally, I've been waiting for a book that matched Memories of Ice for emotional impact and this book blew it away. I phoned SE at 4 in the morning to tell him that I loved him and missed work the next day. I haven't read it a second time out of a sort of fear for the emotion it pulls out of me. If anybody feels that this is a poor or flawed ending to the series, I urge them to revisit it in a couple/few years because, and perhaps this will sound condescending but fuck it, if you've come this far and don't weep when you read this novel, you have some maturing to do.

There's a massive stack of A4 paper on one of our side tables which is The Crippled God in its entirety. Cougar has been in its presence and recoiled from its evident awesomeness. I doubt any of you lot could do better :) (Mal)

Ok now i'm starting to get excited, that cover is fantastic.

As for the dragon i'll plump for "Father Light", or maybe because it's The Watch (damn all you proofreading swine!), whatever dragon is aspected to Thyr (Olar Ethil ?).

Saying that though does the Otataral Dragon have another name that we have'nt heard yet ?

Is'nt Ublala Pung also tooled up for a bit of Dragonslaying ?
