Well, 'decent' is just not enough, ever ;)

I do want to continue with these MAFIAs, but I'm also a sucker for specific settings. I wouldn't join the previous poker game thingy. I guess if I'm not toally taken by the next one's setting I'll just watch it real time and take notes.

Decent is very good in a game like this. ;)

Also pay no attention to cuss words or anger in mafia... 9 times out of ten it is an act. The times when it isn't will be easy to tell.

Provisional Find on Korv,

Ok so the way I have it now...

Kalse: looks to be the FM, or a recruit. Not sure which, gonna wait and see what happens. If a lynch starts towards Barghast me or Rashan then I will spill the beans

For Sure Human: Me, Rashan Barghast. (though they might have been recruited at this point... they started human.

Probable Xenons: Alkend, Ampleas, Tellan.

If I do point the finger at Kalse, I won't survive the night... so I am sure to get up there to see how wrong I am soon ;)

Unknown: Gaylord, Eloth, Korv.

yes, however
10 people left

1 necron
1 eldar
2 chaos
3 tyranids

the town have total numbers of 3 players left.
which leaves them in a not very good place right now....

He is a machine. I do love all the attention though, everything is based on me.

Unfortunately, he believes that Eloth may have been on my team, and now technically he is. So that could be bad for him. He may be the avatar, but he needs to be the sole survivor now. @Karat- we should have used our kills hehe.

well, Eloth is in no end of trouble, really, because he trgetted Korvalain last night, and Korvalain is told about that.....

so, we have a Necron and an Avatar on a collision course, with 3 hapless humans stuck in the middle.

Does Eloth keep the unstable devastator perks? So that he would add an additional NK bp to the 2 granted by Avatar status?

If Eloth targets Korv again, Korv would die since BP's do not affect the Avatar. At best tonight, the Necron can only remove 1 nk bp if he choses to target Eloth since Korv killed last night. So that situation isn't quite as bad. Not one I would want to be in, but not unwinable.

imo, Barghast would have been the best Avatar. Or someone already recruited by the tyranids, though I'm not sure if that was allowed.

Hrm, what are the teams looking like? There's gotta be even less Humans than I thought.

2 Eldar?
1 Chaos?
1 Necron
3 Tyranid?
3 Human?

Alkend didn't jump down my throat this morning, so did he get picked up by GL? Possible he realized who I was if that were the case.

I'm pretty positive neither Sukul nor Karat were Tyranid based on Day 2... so did we get 2 Eldar or 1 Eldar 1 Chaos? Or even the Necron? Gaaahhhhhhhhhh.

I wish GL would show up and make a case or something. I would like to see someone like Tellan or Eloth go, those are the next people I do NOT trust.

Barghast, on 11 October 2010 - 07:28 PM, said:

So many people not talking. We must have a lot of factions just chattering privately to themselves.

Factions always get dicey when they don't want to give anything away. Town did so poorly to start this one that I think everyone realizes that they have no real chance of winning and the odds are so good of lynching scum at this point that any lynch is probably a good one, so nobody wants to open up their trap.

re: eloth: no his previous role powers are gone. the rage of Khaine consumes all.

wcs, eloth misses this night's action, and Korv decides to withhold a kill.

then next night, they could kill each other, since both would have bp-bypass kills.

It's amusing to see that Barghast is still clinging to me and Korv posting within a close time frame as a 'mixup' and not random. He's not even considering it could be random. For all of his analysis, he's either tunnel visioned, or is trying to somehow manipulate the others.

what he thinks and what he writes, are often two totally different things when it comes to PB (barghast).

whilst he tends to overanalyze, you have to remember: he's part of the cult now. his chief goal is to take the lynch away from his master (and the only other Tyranid he knows of), Galayn Lord. whatever elaborate case he has to cook up to do that, he will do.

Ironically enough, with Rashan's 2 BPs and the fact that he seems totally below the radar, the town retains a small shred of a chance

Good boy, Rashan, go ahead and make a nice ugly comment like that about keeping the FM alive before he jumps.

PB persists to jump at everyone, it may get very interesting

also, Tapper, I won't be around tomorrow morning. I've got a flight, folowed by class, followed by job interview, followed by soccer.... so I won't be in for most of the day....

PB is in super classic symp mode. He is covering everything with a big shinny pile of shit. Nobody will be able to see past it to find out what is what. The inability to search for specific posts will help PB out considerably. Right now I like the cults odds.

Alkend, raging:

And now, of course, Kalse shows up and starts speculating, making him a target. I think someone might take a shot at him to frame Barghast, but as much as I think they might take a shot at me to the same end.

If town had more numbers to where I could be expendable I'd change my heal to Kalse. As it is ... well, we're probably both being aimed at anyways. Selfish of me, but I think I'm not only a slightly more likely target, but also it won't matter which of us dies. If one more Inno dies tonight, we're done as a team. We might already be done. Besides which, I'm not entirely convinced Kalse hasn't been taken by a Cult - that Meanas vote was insane for anyone Inno, especially in a leadership role.

I'm just hoping that multiple Kills are aimed at Barghast - people have to be thinking of him as Necron by now. Shouldn't be too hard to get him lynched tomorrow, as one last chance. I think he knows it, which is where all this volume of speculation is coming from - it's a bunch of pretty neutral stuff that doesn't reveal anything about him, and pushes his screw-ups further into the past both in-thread and in people's memories.

Alkend, on 09 October 2010 - 10:45 PM, said:

And the Kalse goes and mentions preserving the town leadership, while heavily insinuating that either GL or Barghast is our top leader.

I sure as fuck hope he's joking, because you never, ever, fucking say anything even remotely like that in thread. That's one of the reasons I think Barghast is scum - for speculating about what may or may not be in starting town Role messages. Seriously, what the fuck?

Because unless Kalse's been recruited, there's no goddamned way he should be saying this stuff as an Inno, unless he's making it up. Especially at Night, when scum can re-target. I wonder if he realizes that I have no idea who town leader is. If it is Barghast, then I've been wrong about everything, but Barghast has been stupid about his reveals, made under no fucking pressure. Hell, that doesn't even make sense for scum to do.

*hammers head against desk*

Alkend, on 12 October 2010 - 06:02 AM, said:

Fucking dammitall.

I just went through Barghast's posts - he drops a note at one point that "there could be more than one human leader." There's no damned way he'd just come up with that out of the blue, he's got to know there are multiple squad leaders, which means he has to be Inno. Still doesn't explain the no-pressure reveal after I put a second vote on him, or the vote for Meanas. That, and Kalse's not-subtle-enough warnings, make me think Barghast is telling the truth. Maybe. I'm going to have to stumble along and pretend that I've got a case, but make it a weak one. Which was going to be true anyways, there's not a strong case on anyone right now.

Which all just adds up to Kalse being culted, and Barghast being a Necron. Fuckall.

But the Meanas lynch was still stupid, no matter who turns out to be what. And if Korv's turned ... well, I might have to vote for him.

Galayn Lord, on 12 October 2010 - 07:37 AM, said:

Well damn, I'm in a bit of a bind right now. Barghast is doing exactly what I had hoped he would when I recruited him, and I want to follow along. THe problem is, there's some stuff out there about a human leader and everything else which I don't know about it clearly, and I dont' want to seem like i'm symping him by just following along. Also i'm not sure Korv is in fact the FM if we have them, I like Rashan for that. However its been made now and seems like a good a choice as any to be lynched today but Alkend is getting feisty as well.

I was hoping to raise some suspicion on others but I'm scared to point fingers and having it blow up in my face. Also I reckon we may have lynched one Eldar, and one other Eldar to go will mean its game over and Eldar win.
Eloth and Tellan have done fuck all so far and I'd love to jump up and down and say scum scum in their direction as well just to get some other names into the mix.

My ace in the hole is that lynch proof I've got hanging around. If that Guard is gone that at least will mean one more recruit if I can find someone to actually recruit.

I wonder whats happened to all the kills as well. Seems like there should be more kills than what we've seen. I wonder if I've made a mistake and not held one back for emergencies.
