For those of you not in the Northeast, do you remember the TV coverage and how power companies from all over the country came to help?

Pretty damned creative for a bot, seeing as how I actually remember those ice-storms.
Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I think we need to give the OP the Voight-Kampff test:
Mink7, answer me this:
You're in a desert, walking along in the sand, when all of a sudden you look down. You look down and see a tortoise, Mink7. It's crawling toward you... You reach down and you flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping... You're not helping! Why is that, Mink7?

mink7, Aptorian is in the same desert, he comes across a man standing over a tortoise. The tortoise is laying on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without help. Apt looks at you and his thoughts are, "you're not helping... You're not helping! why are you not helping?".
What should Apt do Mink7?

In this desert, along comes a trohl'barahl to eat Apt, the bot/man, and the friggin' turtle. What can you do?
Oh, I can't remember any ice-storm in '98, but there are reasons for that.

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. It's amazing the amount of conversation that can be generated by a programmed forum bot. You guys crack me up. And yes, I'm contributing to this thread that shouldn't exist.

I, for one, WELCOME our random subject search/post bot overlords, and remind them that as a well respected and much loved forum personality i would be overjoyed to regale others with my ribald and amusing stories of all the drinking and sex i did to pass the time during the ice strom of '98, most of which was with other people...

I was there. It was cool.
However, like Bubba, I can't address tv coverage since there was no power haha.
