My place is easily found from the spawn. Follow the trail out the front, turn right at the pagoda, cross the stone bridge and my undermountain should be in sight.

I wish I could jump online. A huge hurricane decided to sit on top of my city for the better part of a day and estimates are upwards of 1 week before I have power and 2 weeks before I have phone/internet service.

I've been on the last few evenings. No one else about though.

Creative is just awesome. Now I can spend my time actually building stuff rather than trying not to fall off it, and finding stuff to build it with in the first place. Being able to hover, just to circle round and build from all sides without a long walk makes all the difference.

Got so many ideas for projects now, for when I have the time.

btw does anyone know if it's possible to create coloured step blocks and coloured fencing, or does that require a new texture pack or some such?

still no power at my house I can't join in the fun. Possibly tonight if the utility's web page is correct (which it isn't).

I don't think colored block steps are included yet. Hopefully in a future update.

Yeah, they're not in the block list but I've seen them in use on minecraft pictures online. Custom built I guess. It would be nice as roof tile options are limited at present.

I'm not holding out a lot of hope on the power issue...there is a LOT of damage to the distribution system. 300x bucket crews working flat out for a week and there are still like 30k people without power. 80% of that is just single houses whose entrance from the power pole got snapped, but the other 20% is people (like me) where the main distribution line is still sitting on the feckin ground under a tree!

They made a lot of progress though, at the peak it was 140k people without power. Absolutely unprecedented outage for any reason ever in the history of the utility!

RE the steps - often that's a mod to the game. Mojang lags behind the modding community by a good 6 months in that respect.

Got loads to work on when I get to it though, my mountain is starting to look pretty different now. Got the entire interior to finish and the surround to landscape. And a nether link to build.

Yeah, I really want to get the nether links sorted, maybe build off D'rek's top level rail system.

I've now got myself a huge store room. Still haven't created a front door. Now just exploring, trying to find jungle and maybe Ice spires.

There's a huge jungle just north of my place. That's north of the spawn then slightly north west after the mob village by the lake.
