Just checked and it's up and running still - I've been checking every so often for updates and keeping the latest version running in case anyone popped on.

It's running vanilla MC so no mods.

I've not played in a good 2 months now, not even sure what the last update introduced. I'll have to get back into it but I'm finding too much else to do at the moment.

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

I might have a go at playing again. I think I need to come up with a new project, possibly.

My gaming time is zero and promises to be for the next 18 or so years (what with the daughter and all)

Unless I can convince her to play MC with me at some point....mainly when her mum can't see that I'm playing video games with our child. Ha.

I hate to see the resources wasted too. If nobody is playing anymore then maybe it's best to call it quits on the server.

And that's the saddest post I ever expect to see in a video game thread. We had fun though, didn't we?

Yar for sure.

I'm fine with it keeping running since we don't pay for it, but I simply don't have the time to play anymore. Not even kinda.

HO's buddy seems perfectly alright with letting it run and it doesn't seem to be a hassle for him in any way so there's no rush to a decision or anything. It's just kinda silly to let it keep going if nobody cares to login anymore.

I'm a new user, I want to play all the time. I play on my x box, what is the world called and how can I join it?

I have two worlds currently. Xanthia (like off Role Models) and Hydra Cavernas based loosely on current Eclipse game.

I don't know if you can play on your xbox... I'm not sure if they are combined or not.

You put in a server IP and password if required to join the game, on the PC. I've not played on the 360 so I have no idea how you go about it.

You can't play on pc servers with your xbox unfortunately. You will need to buy the game on pc.

And IIRC the game is *much* farther along in development on the PC. I don't even know if they update the 360 version tbh, and it's probably somewhere around version 1, whereas the PC version is at 1.47.

So much has been added since V1....it's a totally different game. I mean, the essence of the game is the same, but there are now new mobs, bosses, items, repair/crafting mechanics, NPC mobs, currency, enchanting, potion brewing and generally a lot more intermediate goals to reach in-game than there were originally.

I mean, at V1, the game basically involved mining until you got enough diamonds that you didn't care to mine them anymore.

All that to say, the PC game is worth picking up, and as RLY said, you need it to play online.

The 360 version is actually fairly advanced now, they do update it but it is still behind the pc version. 360 has potions and enchanting now I just saw, if that helps date where there are.

So I've been playing with redstone, and pathways appearing from lava and invisible doors and shutting off waterfalls is actually really fun.

I'd like to figure out a kind of drawbridge or extending bridge beyond just 3 spaces but with the way the repeaters work it is pretty difficult.

I've just discovered that if you use the shears on oak leaves that you get leaf blocks. I am creating a fairly huge hedge maze and I will link it to my castle across the pond by a wooden path that has hedge walls.
