Looks interesting, sort of like a supernatural version of "The Phonebooth" only with a bigger cast, but it's still a M. Night. Shame film.



So what do you think the story is this time?

Was it all a dream?
Are they really in hell?
Are they all devils?
Or angels?
or Aliens?
Or Muslim terrorists?
Did one of them just have really bad PMS?

How about Fallen Angels from outer space dreaming in Hell about becoming terrorists? Why pull any punches with a new awesome movie that suck like the others, but in a new way that only reminds us of the last 5?

Aye, looks good but then so have most of his recent films, which have actually turned out to be rather poor...

(Admittedly I'm going on the reviews, having not bothered to watch them because said reviews were bad - still, I'm entitled to an opinion, am I not?!)

Let's be more clear here.

This is based on a STORY by M. Night....it's written by Brian Nelson (the guy co-wrote Hard Candy and 30 Days Of Night), and directed by John Erick Dowdle (who directed Quarantine)...making it have nothing in common with an M. Night film....he is only producer and likely gets a story credit. That's it. Which gives me hope it could be good as it WON'T be an M. Night film....a man whose films I have officially sworn off.

Apt, you might want to amend the title as it's not a new M. Night Shaymalan film.

That said. The elevator beeps that are pretty much the only sound as the end of the trailer plays are nicely creepy.

That nutjob should stay the fuck away from movies. Else they get boycotted.

M night as a producer means he will still have lots of input.
At the moment there is no faith in him from me... even if only producing.
A movie can be wrecked by a bad producer, look at Wolverine or Babylon AD.

I wonder if this movie will actually break the IMDB scoring system. The extrapolation from Sixth Sense through The Last Airbender predicts that whatever Shamalamalamalam makes next will score -0.8 or something :)

How long were you working that out for? More to the point why were you working that out? (That's a lot of effort to be wasting on the likes of a (recent - the older ones are quite good) Shayamalan film) :)

Weird water movie = ???????

The Village = I liked it. And still do.

H.D., I quite liked the village as well, if only because the atmosphere was very well done. I was a little shocked to find that the ending was the plot twist - it seemed so obvious that I thought it was meant to be assumed the whole way through, and actually expected the opposite as the twist.

I am really looking forward to it, did you like Phonebooth? I did. This has a modern day supernatural feeling to it, and I like that. I liked sixth sense, unbreakable and signs I haven't watched the others except the village which was okay. He didn't even write this script so that puts a twist on things
